Just ran the DX12 feature test in Firestrike and got this

http://www.3dmark.com/3dm/8102637

DX11 Multi-threaded draw calls per second

2 310 501

DX11 Single-threaded draw calls per second

1 617 221

DX12 draw calls per second

22 334 983

Is it any good as it looks rubbish to me.

Its a bit to soon to say if this is rubbish or good I would guess as there not having loads of dx12 benchmarks, we have nothing to really measure it against.

That isn't really a benchmark perse it's more of a feature showcase to show the abilities of DX12 and I highly doubt they'll update it to support quad GPU setups.

yes its good, what specifically don't you understand? :)

It measures how efficient the DX11/12 API's are at communicating with the GPU

The "Draw Calls" are how many instructions the CPU can send to the GPU in a second, the higher that number the less latency, in turn the less latency the higher the FPS at high Draw Calls as the GPU does not need to slow to wait for the API to catchup.

My results on an FX-9590 @ 4.7Ghz

DX11 Multi-threaded draw calls per second: 2 189 474

DX11 Single-threaded draw calls per second: 1 232 187

DX12 draw calls per second: 14 911 216

Nvidia has a better DX11 Driver, some how they managed to get around a lot of the DX11 overheads

AMD has better DX12 performance.

I should put the cpu up at 4.9Ghz and run again. :p

I will not be putting that to the test as I think Win10 is the worst piece of software I have seen in a very long time.

Anyone mention the Emperors new clothes.:D

@Bill Gates, now would be a very good time to sell your shares in Microsoft.;)

Kaap it's really not that bad, you just have to spend a good few hours.. days going through it. Put everything on the start menu, disable all of the junk in every group in settings. I have to use search or run more than I'd like mind.

Am really liking windows 10 couple bugs and driver issues but so far gaming performance and overall system performance is very good.. Not sure on the start menu though might go back to start8 now called start10.
