290 tri-x rma - what will i receive?

So the 290s are EOL now. Not kept up with the rehashes and stuff with the newer series as I intended for my next GPU to be a Pascal nvidia one, however mine crapped out.


Anyone know what could be sent my way? Its like gpu secret santa to me aha.
 
I hope im not waiting a while!

I wouldnt mind a 380 back, I only play CSGO now, everythin else these days is rip off garbage with no fun.
 
Man im gonna be annoyed if its a long wait. What kind of customer service is that? Its under warranty - uphold that by replacing it or refund me.
 
As the others have said, expect a 290 or a 390 4GB (same card, slight overclock). If you're offered a 380, decline as that's a rebranded 285 - great card, but not as great as a 290/390.

I RMAed an MSI 7970 when the 280X and 290 has been out a month or so, so expected a 280X to come back. Was surprised when I received a 7970 back (obviously, fine with that as that's what has died) so just because the cards aren't for sale anymore, don't dismiss that companies keep a few in stock for replacements if needed.
