Let me ask you this: If there wasn't a moon landing, why didn't the USSR call the USA out on it? They had every reason to claim it was a hoax, but they didn't, because it was true and they didn't want to look like idiots.

I am not arguing against moon landing. And I don't care much either.

My point is that people can have different beliefs/opinions and this necessarily doesn't make someone idiot. OP has just declared his Fiance (whom he knows for 8 years) and family plain stupid because they don't believe in moon landing and stick to their religion. Now you have to ask that who actually is being an idiot here. lol

religion aside, your fiancé, mother-in-law and father-in-law are bonkers mate. unless they got loads of ££ or she is fit as porn star I'd move on.

god forbid (quit it with the religion malarkey!) you decide to have kids...you'll have to explain the whole birds and the bees to her or she'll out waiting for the stork to appear :p
 
You can't reason with stupid.

I was down the pub once with a group of mates, one of whom is Chinese. I girl asked him where he was from; he replied China. She came back with 'Ah I thought you were from Asia, you look more Asian'. This was met by some puzzled faces. He then explained that China is in Asia, Asia is a continent and China is a country...

She didn't have an of it. Called over a few of her mates who sided with her...

One of her mates ended with 'China is China and Asia is Asia, stupid'.

Is this really a big deal it's not like you'd be able to tell unless you actually had your own spaceship... which incidentally is all I really care about currently when it comes to space travel when do I get my own ship?... and lasers?... and secret asteroid base... with Rum!?

I have heard of that and it certainly is a compelling arguement were we to be discussing opinions. Whether the USA went to the moon isn't a matter of opinion, it is a matter of fact. It is however my opinion that if you disagree with fact then you are an idiot - see what I did there :D
