Do not do this people!

Ow. Agreed :(. I notice they just freely show this on tv these days too on these do-up-cars shows.

Not quite the same effect but you get a mild version of that flash.

They freely show it because you're not going to get welders eye from a flash on the TV, it's the massive amounts of UV produced that cause it. :p

I did say mild sensation but that's way beyond your concern of being condescending. ;)

Once took a contact lens out after veeting my ass. ..I had not thoughly removed all the vet from my hands . ...

Earlier today I had the misfortune to accidentally splash a single small drop of fairy liquid into my eye.

It ****ing hurts!

(That thing with the Baby is a cruel deception!)

It was 7 hours ago and I am still uncomfortable. But for the first hour or so it was sheer bloody agony! (Well comparable to the aftermath of the cataract surgery I had earlier in the year!)

Just don't do it! :(

I will be wearing goggles to do the washing up from now on! :/ (Seriously!)

(Either that or just keeping my eyes closed when I am doing the Biz with the detergent)

Shouldn't have gotten so close to the wife...

Student days. Mate likes ice pops. Holds them in his hand until melted. Down in one.

Sneaky switch one icypop for fairy liquid and freeze. "here you go mate, opened it for you"

Lots of laughs. Coughing up bubbles for an hour

:D

Think the worst thing I've ever had in my eye was cement powder. Followed a close second by metal shavings after cutting some bolts in a windy field.

aviation fuel, cue 14 day eye infection :(

worst part is it didn't get in my eye directly, I stupidly rubbed my eye for a second after doing a job and that was it, 20 mins later burning non-stop.

The worst thing is a rough sawn floorboard in the eye. Corneal abrasions are no joke.

Three days of indescribable pain. The eye clinic said most mothers that have experienced it say it compatible if not more painful than childbirth. Three days of child birth :(

I've had super glue, expanding foam and a small shard of plastic in my eye.

The expanding foam hurt the most, and the plastic was the most irritating.

Never pleasant! Sorry for your pain.

Whilst cracking open a steamed crab last summer I managed to flick load of "old bay" spice in my eye..oh Lord.

Also, when at uni, I decided to try and paint strip my alloys, next thing I know I have nitromors in my eye. I have never moved so fast to the sink in all my life.

All the best with the recovery!

When I was about 8 I was running up a friends stairs and got caught up in the phone wire and a nail went into my eye.

I thought I was being electrocuted at the time lol...

Then the hospital had to stick a needle into my eye as I had tiny fragments of paint from the nail still stuck in my eye. Not nice, especially being so young.
