USB TV freeview stick?

Is there any difference between all the ones available.
They seem to range from £10-80.

All the same or should I seek a certain one out, single tuner is fine, although not against dual.

I have used different price point ones and I do not recommend usb ones at all.

The support is one of the big differences the cheap ones drivers can be really bad the same with the software support also they tend not to be that great hardware wise even simple things like how it fits in the usb slot.

I paid about £8-10 for mine, works perfectly including the HD channels and even came with a remote.

I have two dongles both used with DVBviewer as the Hauppauge TV software is crap

bothered about a remote. It'll be integrated into mediaportal.
What OS yup running as well. I'm on 8.1, need to make sure drivers work, and will very likely upgrade to w10 soon. Once I can be bothered.

I bought on last week off the rainforest (£9) and it was sent back the same day. Software was shocking, it was a swine to get rid of as it just wouldnt uninstall. The aerial it came with was completely useless. I tried it with the decent internal aerial im using in a spare room and didnt pick up a single channel on the USB stick so I just sent it straight back.

I think a decent outdoor aerial is required for these things to work well. Unless i just got unlucky.

Got PCTV DVB -T2 290e nanostick for 2 years now.

Worked fine with DVDViewer on Windows 10.

Went for the 292e, but I can't get it working went to website and downloaded the software, launch it and it just says initializing hardware and stays like that.
Any I googles not being much help.

Right works on laptop which is win10, I had a 461e (freesat) installed on htpc in last place.

So can only assume it's getting confused, despite uninstalling and deleting as much as I can find. And the software saying 292e

Well I suppose it's time to upgrade htpc to w10 then and then clean install it.

w10 installed and tv working.

just need to install and get media portal working tomorrow, which is a nightmare.
