Ah I wonder what that meant. They'd be better off collecting money to bolster the Scottish education system.

Nah you translate wrongly. Unionist scum referes tae yon evil folk who are in government and work fir the BBC and MSM.
No you translated it wrong. - [Still looks wrong lol]
Unionist scum refers to the evil folk who are in government and work for the BBC and MSM. - [No it doesn't, unionists are people who support the union, you're calling them all scum including 55.3% of Scots].

I wonder if the evil scumbag tories will be taking out loans to cover the expense of their boot camps they are going to be forcing the young in too. What abuot the 21 year old who his worked since they were 16? The English need their heads looking at for voting in such an evil party. Our government is not perfect (although they are close, praise be upon them!) but at least they are paying for the bedroom tax and the like. We care for our young. The English appear to take pleasure in punishing them.

At least they are paying the bedroom tax? What? That's actually disgraceful though.
The bedroom tax is there to maximise the efficiency of social housing. There aren't enough houses to go around, so we need to maximise efficiency of current stocks.
I would love to live in a house that's bigger than I need or can afford. Spare bedrooms are ace. However, the only way. That's gonna happen is if I get a council house, and go on benefits. Then the government can pay for my spare room, while families struggle in houses too small, and the homeless have no rooms at all.
If you can afford spare rooms, then great. If you can't, they shouldn't be state funded, that's for sure.
no reasonable discussion is happening here... close the thread.
Typical right wing unionist attitude. Whit aboot if yir in a council hoose an you are unfortunate enough fir a relative tae die. Say a son or daughter. You are grieving fir yir loved one and at the same time getting letters fae the council saying pay us mare money or yer getting kicked oot. Jist oan ei the possible situations the evil tax on the poor can cause such heartache.
At least oor government (praise be upon them) has taken the more sensible and humane decision to help council housing stock by removing right tae buy. You lot should be ashamed o' yersels fir backing such evil.

Typical right wing unionist attitude. What about if you're in a council house and you are unfortunate enough for a relative to die, say a son or daughter. You are grieving for your loved one and at the same time getting letters from the council saying your housing benefit will be reduced due to under occupancy. Just one of the possible situations the evil tax on the poor can cause such heartache.

I'm not saying there shouldn't be some sort of waiting period for terrible circumstances like that. But are you saying state funded spare rooms should remain state funded for decades? 12 months seems like a reasonable amount of time before suggesting that perhaps a house is no longer suitable for their current family.
You are just taking one example there. My old dear had to move because of the "bedroom tax", and she moved to a house she could now afford to heat, while a family previous struggling in a flat that was too small, moved into a house more suitably sized for their needs. Which is a win win situation.
You've got it all backwards. The evil tories continue to sell off council houses even though demand for them increases. At the same time punishing those who are lucky enough to have secured one but have an extra room. A bedroom tax would perhaps be fair if there was enough houses available so that a downgrade to a smaller house is possible. But when there is a shortage of houses all the tax does is create misery for those who aren't able to downsize. Why is it that the right wing always attack the poor yet turn a blind eye to all the criminality at the top?
Moral values in Scotland and England seem so far apart. We should just go our own separate way.
