Loss of a child.

Congrats Wynthorpe :)

Just a thought - do you think the council are removing items in case of theft as well as maintaining the grass etc?

They have not stated so in any meeting or communication, its to make it aesthetically pleasing to the public (don't care about mourners) and easier to cut the grass.

So happy right now, just had a meeting with a lovely Director from the Council, He has been up and actually looked at what we are doing with Alyssia's tree and he said there is nothing wrong and we are allowed to keep it as it, and no one should ever of said we weren't allowed to do so. He said that Doodle's tree will be kept as the precedent for what you are allowed to do at the cemetery. He also noted that the lower management we talked to initially will no longer be allowed to talk to members of the public about these matters without consulting him first.
All round great result and thank you all so much for your support.

And so they bloody should, pardon my language :)

Can't believe I missed this thread last time round.

I am sorry for your loss but really happy that you have 2 new arrivals! :)

Glad the council Director saw sense and has let you keep the Doodle Tree in it's current form.

Result :) Congratulations matey :) Will drop you a line tomorrow only now got back from a work trip away!

Thought id give a little update as its been a long while, the twins are now fast approaching the age when Alyssia died (16 month old and twins 15 month now), we had a major scare last weekend where the girls ended up in hospital with the exact same symptoms that Alyssia had, thankfully it turned out that Molly and Hannah had severe bacterial Tonsillitis and responded really well to Antibiotics.

Both me and Adele have again found this to be an immensely emotional and draining time, we keep wondering why these things happen to us?! Have we done something in our past lives to be put through crap constantly with our children?!

Thankfully the girls are well on their way to being healthy again and they are back at nursery and enjoying themselves, I think me and Adele now need to try and sort ourselves out and come down off the ceiling!

Here's a couple of pics of the girls, they are growing up so quickly (as you can see Hannah has a thing for skips!).

I have two little girls and if I lost one of them i'm not sure i could do what you've done, id be a broken man.

Your twins are both beautiful and you and your partner should be immensely proud.

Lovely pics :)

Your pics of Alyssia are super too - she looked like a real ray of sunshine :)

I'm sure that, despite the odd scare, you'll both have a great time with your twins as they grow up. My daughter is a little older, just turned 2, (also have a boy, 5) and she's rapidly turning into a real little person - talking, playing jokes and games, enjoying books, running around at the park etc - you'll love it :D

( two of them at once must be exhausting though! :D )

What a bonny pair! They are soon to be entering that golden age of discovery when speech begins to blossom and the world presents itself for exploration.

Thanks for the kind words matey.

They both saying odd words and really coming out of themselves now and its such a pleasure to watch them growing up, but also we panic over any little infection! Cant be helped i suppose.

Its been pretty easy up until them both becoming very ill at the same time, thats been very hard work with only a couple of hours sleep of a night.
