Now come on, you know thats rubbish, since its release, the experts in here have put it around the 980, winning some, losing some, and the Fury non 'X' is around their own 390Xs performance.

They were according to JPR - Europe was a NV stronghold last quarter!
This is the real issue here.
If AMD didn't exist, the 980ti wouldn't exist. It would be the TitanX for £1000, followed by the 980 for £500.
I know people love defending NVIDIA and making fun of AMD, but this is the reality we face unless AMD gain market share.

No, they wouldn't, because there are plenty of people who simply wont spend a grand on a gpu, but would spend 500-600. If nvidia really go down the route of giving no performance benefit and increasing prices, they'll massively slash their own income.

I do find it funny, that people think if AMD went, and there was only Nvidia, then Nvidia would only release a new card every 10yrs or so, price em about 50k each, and only do about 1 driver per card, as no competiton anymore for them.

There would always be a product like the 980TI as nvidia would have allot of failed chips that didn't make the grade for the Titan. The 980TI doesn't exist because of AMD more like it exists because chips didn't make the grade for their Titan. Its just the basic binning process and nothing more.

Wouldn't put it past nvidia, even if AMD make up an unlikely 10% from the 300 series on Q3, nvidia are still leagues ahead of them and as you say once Pascal and HBM2 hit... AMD need a bailout.
