So I've been a long time user of Spotify and a premium subscriber since early 2012.

Whilst I'm generally happy with the service, I'm wondering if I could do better. I'm concerned by a couple of things, the recent privacy policy changes have concerned me and the music library isn't as comprehensive as it could be (ala Taylor Swift etc).

So with the impending release of Apple Music for Android, Google Play Music and others available, where should I be putting my £10 per month?

I personally prefer Spotify to Apple, although with them doing a 3 month free trial give it a go.

Amazon Music (if it's available out of Prime), isn't really there yet unfortunately. Whether that'll change is another matter though.

EDIT-A mate always talks highly about Deezer but I've never tried it.

I'm a big fan of Google Play and have been a subscriber since it launched. It always seems to get overlooked and I really don't know why. I have a fairly eclectic taste (rock, hip hop, jazz etc) and it has everything I want unless its an exclusive elsewhere (eg waiting for Dr Dre's new album). But it usually gets everything else promptly in the day of release. And of course on an Android phone its great. Its now got Sonos support too.

I've tried them all and Spotify is the best, though Deezer is a close second, bar the fact that Spotify has a lot more early nineties dance tracks.

Play was really good until I got a bug where even the songs I'd "disliked" would somehow end up in my library and play even though you could even see the thumbs down sign highlighted. 4 months in I gave up waiting for a fix and got Spotify premium instead. Play >> Spotify when it worked, there just doesn't seem as much opportunity to stumble across something I like that I'd never even heard of before on Spotify as on Play

I'm currently using Deezer having been a long term spotify subscriber. Deezer is pretty good:

- FLAC support for Sonos (paid extra)
- flow mode is very good, not sure if spotify has anything similar now
- lyrics available for most tracks
- nice iOS interface, lots of music suggestions

Downsides

- crap windows app, can't even select high quality streaming, browser playback is better
- playlists not as available as spotify or as regularly updated

I've found the discover features works fairly well for finding new music - though it can be a bit hit and miss sometimes.

Have tried all of them and always went back to Spotify.

However Apple Music is far superior particularly with iTunes Match and the curated playlists that aren't padded with crap.
