I just went past that spot 10-20mins before the crash with my wife and kids to a BBQ to watch the air show. Leaving to go home now and it is at a stand still.

The A27 will be closed for a long, long time yet. Body recovery and investigation may take days.

I work in aviation and had a lot going through my mind directly after the crash. I picked my daughter up and gave her a big hug.

Bit close for comfort as it's a road I use at times.
Bit surprised the pilot was able to go outside of the designated area for this but we'll see in time.
Considering how busy the A27 can be it's something that the loss of life wasn't far worse.

There were roadworks - the plane came down on the junction but the queue started abiut 2 miles back.
I shudder now to think what would have happened if the roadworks hadn't been there and the lights were green (they were on red)

I am amazed the pilot is alive.
I don't suppose the pilot chose the road as up until a certain point I guess he'd have expected to make the maneuver successfully and well there was probably only seconds with a heavy lump falling to earth without much control.
I guess you know exactly what happened then?
These pilots have thousands of flying hours and are highly trained, and it's disrespectful to assume it was the pilot's fault.

Yea, seen that. It has a tarp on it which doesnt bode well. RIP all that died. Horrific.
