Just had a semi-drunken taxi home and the taxi driver showed me some video about how evolution is apparently rubbish,

Don't think he was happy when I mentioned getting a petri dish full of evil bacteria, applying antibiotics and picking out the 1% of survivors as proof of survival of the fittest and therefore evolution within a short timeframe as opposed to millions of years. Being very ill this year has made me acutely aware of bacterial capabilities. :(

I'm not an athetist and I do see order at every scale within this universe but crikey, that was odd.

Some dodgy video with arabic subtitles. i LOL'd inside.

"It happened millions of years ago? where is your proof?"

Carbon dating is something akin to magic, it seems.

I just wasn't in the mood. I'm drunk and I just wanted to get home, not debate the fundamental questions of the universe.

Edit: I tend to not talk to taxi drivers anymore, to many weird answered after " my night was good aye, yours?"

I respect everyone's beliefs but seriously, trying to push your arguments onto someone who's drunk is a bit weird. I mean, I might be much less intelligent after a few Peronis but I'm not going to surrender my trust in science just because I'm in a taxi. :p

I enjoy watching lots of Richard Dawkins and Lawrence Krauss videos.

I reckon I could make a few religious people have a little think about things now.

I'm pretty middle of the road to be honest. I wouldn't be surprised if we're all just someone's ant farm.

I've just never had the "hard sell" before now. Haha

I was in a taxi once from Euston to Oxford Street and the driver harped on about the illuminati and various conspiracy theories for the whole 15 mins or so,
He did bring to my attention though "Denver Airport" - just google it.
I read loads about it afterwards and it does make for a good read, just take it with a pinch of salt.
Just before I got out he puzzled me this " why do you think most of the new buildings are mainly structural glass nowadays?"
He didn't give anything away as he is obviously in the know but gave me a look of we're all screwed.
To this day I don't know what he meant by this and quite what he was insinuating.
To summarise - Taxi drivers are odd....really odd (not all of them, just all of the ones I've ever met)
