ok so i have an ek EK DCP 4.0 + Reservoir pump and the noise is driving me nuts(having stripped it down it looks like the vibration comes from the impeller shaft not being a snug enough fit in the impeller)..even on low settings it vibrates badly so looking for a new pump)

anyone tried the Magicool DCP450?

thanks
dave

I have had a magicool pump and It broke after 1 month rma and the second also died.

No things to consider I was on a tight budget and all I could afford, but a pump is something not to go cheap on
Luckily nothing was damaged by the pumps dying on me but do you wanna take that risk?

Second maybe its because I was asking to much from the pump as the magicool pumps have a low lift hight or head room around 2m if memory serves me right

For a single cpu loop one rad probably ok, but anymore gpu mobo ect definitely not. Due to low lift hight

To sum up the pump being the most important part I really would spend a little more if you can, I had 2 pumps in 2 months although I probably was pushing it to much on my one rig cpu gpu mobo. I know other who have also used them and weren't happy.

I may seem harsh and as stated for a simple loop there ample. But 2 pumps changes hassle of draining loops ain't worth it Imo, maybe I was a unlucky guy and got 2 defective pumps but I doubt it

End of the day you get what you pay for

This is just one guys experience not everyone's

Ah good choice, last thing you want in a build rma parts nothing worse especially having to drain loops

I also brought the d5 with ek top buying a second soon for dual loops cant beat the vario d5
