Advice for a younger you

To my 13 year old me: Get tested for Coeliac disease. Concentrate on and revise for your GCSEs. Phone Danielle during the summer holidays and don't be shy. Pursue geology, chemistry and physics a-levels. Take a geology degree. Don't join Mensa, it's a waste of £40.

For those that don't know this song it was big hit in 1999. It really is fascinating having heard it when a young man and now as a middle aged man. It really does ring true. There are some very wise words here despite it being a throwaway song. Apparently it was a real speech later turned into a song.

Heard this song played three times this year on the radio. Wise words still apply today, especially with people and social media obsession.

Don't marry a Norwegian (first wife), buy a house early before you pee all your money up the wall and end up buying at the top of the market and when you meet a young lady at your mates wedding, do what you did as you will have a great son.

'Don't **** all your money up the wall young Uther, save it!
And buy as many houses as you can while they are under 20k, you'll thank me later'
If only I had listened to future me... :p

Another one... don't work for someone else. It's not more secure. Start a business young. Fail at it and start another. Fail at that and then start the real business you want to do with the lessons learned.
