ok to xfire 290 tri x with 290 vapor x ?

tbh, i doubt you can see the difference with those cards paired with a fx8350 no matter what clock you give it. Cant you use OC software to get the clocks you want?

Yeah I'm using sapphire trixx easy to use and tbh more stable for me than afterburner was with same clock settings as trixx

The biggest let down so far in pcars but end of the day I know that is more CPU heavy and just one thing I've got to live with lol

Got it all installed now no problems clocked 1050/1400 had to put vapor in slot 1 the trix x was running mid 80s under load slot 3 back to mid 70s. 63ish in normal gaming. One thing I did find odd was the vapor x came with 1000/1400 +.5 extra volt ?? Sure vapor should be 1030/1400 ??
The bios is newer than what I can find on the net.

jimbob, I recently had the same mixup with cards. Check the model numbers as there looks to be a OC & Non OC version for the Vapor X.

OC version model Number: 11227-04-40G

Non - OC Version: 11227-05-40G

hope this helps.
