When Idle, does your fans spin? On the cheaper 980ti amp!

Fans spin for me as I have a custom curve running 1:1 with temp, without it it would idle around 45-50c.

Worth noting my case is terrible for air cooling.

Personally i think the zero fan thing is a bit of a gimmick. Vast majority of cards run quiet even with the fans on at idle. Also just use a custom curve here.

I've got the next one up and the fans don't spin and the temp is 45c.

Confused as I had an amp! And a review states fans do spin at Idle, yet mine do not (idles 50-60 depending on time of day) trying to get it rmad as temps were terrible.

60c at idle is not terrible, it's perfectly normal.

My card tends to be around 72c under load, with the fans not turning on until 66c, so I feel this is fine.

You are free to download MSI Afterburner and set a custom fan curve yourself, which saves you the hassle of an RMA.

Forgot to mention that it was getting to 90ish under load (can't see any articles stating of the 0db technology in the amp!).

Mines currently idling at 38 degrees with fans not spinning. Running a 4k monitor.

Aren't both Nvidia and AMD employing this zero spin tech on there latest top end cards? ie: It's used on all the top chips regardless of brand or model, I'm pretty sure Fiji and Grenada does and I thought the 2 GM2-- chips did as well.
