I bought mine from Richersounds and they simply sort these things via Samsung as they offer a 5 year guarantee. My TV is over 2 years old.
its a nightmare to deal with them.
JL but they said they would exchange it but I would take a 25% hit on the value of the TV which of course I don't want. I have a recording of the conversation and it says swap over.
Samsung could easy just swap it at no extra cost.
That's quite strange as don't they have a 5 year warranty on electrical items? Also in at least 25 years of buying from them I have found them exemplary as far as customer service is concerned. I would far rather deal white JL than Samsung.

Just realised JL means John Lewis. The customer service from JL has always been the best of the best. They usually bend over backwards to make sure the customer is happy. I bet there is more to this story than you are letting on![]()
Its been going on for almost 2 years now JL said they would have to include depreciation, 1st there was a problem with the one box then a problem with the remote then another problem with the one box then a problem with the remote now the screen.
Why should I accept 25% hit on a TV that i've had problems with.
JL works like this 28 days they will swap it anything over 28 days they call Samsung engineer out this is were my problem lies.

Don't know how you can get into a situation like this for 2 years.... :| I would have been onto them weekly until the problem was either fixed or replaced.
samsung are terrible with customer service, just dump it on the retailer, its legally their problem anyway.
But your problem isn't that they're a rip off, it's that they have poor customer service?
anyway i have just purchased some domains with the name Samsung and ripoff, going to use it to list the problems ive had with Samsung and their customer service.
Do they? Samsung sent a technician, matdom told them it was going to be replaced this was last year. Now it's almost September and the op is purchasing domains to slate them....
