goona post something and tell me what you think it means

I had a Samsung engineer here last week, back next week after a large green pixel appeared on my 8000 TV. New panel coming out, not idea why they didn't just replace it, but meh.
 
JL but they said they would exchange it but I would take a 25% hit on the value of the TV which of course I don't want. I have a recording of the conversation and it says swap over.
Samsung could easy just swap it at no extra cost.

That's quite strange as don't they have a 5 year warranty on electrical items? Also in at least 25 years of buying from them I have found them exemplary as far as customer service is concerned. I would far rather deal white JL than Samsung.

I would far rather deal with anyone but Samsung. Based on my interactions with them, both online (which I have an audit trail for) and via the telephone, even when escalated to supposed senior management they were garbage. I won't bore you with the detail but it was appalling customer service.
 
Just realised JL means John Lewis. The customer service from JL has always been the best of the best. They usually bend over backwards to make sure the customer is happy. I bet there is more to this story than you are letting on ;)

Its been going on for almost 2 years now JL said they would have to include depreciation, 1st there was a problem with the one box then a problem with the remote then another problem with the one box then a problem with the remote now the screen.

Why should I accept 25% hit on a TV that i've had problems with.
JL works like this 28 days they will swap it anything over 28 days they call Samsung engineer out this is were my problem lies.

Don't know how you can get into a situation like this for 2 years.... :| I would have been onto them weekly until the problem was either fixed or replaced.

its easy the problems happened every few months, then they promised to swap it over and that was the last I heard of them for a few months, i called them and they said they had no recollection of making that offer and the wheel starts again.
Samsung CS = poo,
at least I record my conversations to fall back on but they refuse to give me permission to mail it to them....
 
anyway i have just purchased some domains with the name Samsung and ripoff, going to use it to list the problems ive had with Samsung and their customer service.

Excellent. Might I suggest you grab a few cans of beans and a can opener and go camp in the reception area of one of their offices?

Do they? Samsung sent a technician, matdom told them it was going to be replaced this was last year. Now it's almost September and the op is purchasing domains to slate them....

Using this post purely as a TLDR, I am summizing that:

matdom has problem with TV. Talks to retailer (JL) who mention in passing a possible replacement, but would prefer a samsung engineer to investigate. matdom contacts engineer and tells them outright it is getting replaced. Problems ensue. Problem here is matdom?
