Got the upgrade bug, again.. I'm thinking about replacing either my cpu and mobo - i5 3570k/Asus p8z77-v lx or replacing my monitor - Benq xl2411t. Question is, would I see much of an increase in performance to justify the price or would I be better going 1440p to go with my 980? Cheers.

I'd personally upgrade the monitor. Your 3570K is still plenty good for most games and you'd likely only gain a few fps in the games that are cpu bound at 1080p.

What CPU cooler do you use currently?
Just the stock one. My case is a Cooler Master Silencio 450, not the best I presume.. I didn't build this PC I bought it second hand, just added in a 980 myself. Could the case do with an upgrade?
Upgrade the CPU cooler, stock ones are crap and that is why you have high idle temps. Even something around the £25-30 mark will make a massive difference. As an example, Hyper Evo 212 is a great cooler and will bring those temps right down 
Is it normal for the cpu load to move around a lot? Will go from 2% load to 15%+ even though it's just on the desktop? I'd buy an extra cooler but doubt there'd be enough room in the case for it, may upgrade to the enthoo evolv. Definitely high cpu temps though as I was playing Witcher before and I got a blue screen because of high cpu temps
