As title says what's the best 980ti card available?
Buying one tomorrow but can't decide which.
Some of the non reference cards are 550- 600 quid however zotac amp is 70 quid cheaper and looks like it has similar clock speeds etc.

Noise isn't really a factor to me, I think the zotac has 3 fans on it but don't know what Temps will be like compared to more expensive cards.

Please help me decide :(

Best? G1 Gaming - However a lot of users report coil whine. As an actual card, it's a beast.

Honorable mention - MSI Gaming 6G

Best "bang for the buck" - Zotac AMP! - However users have reported an issue with the fans randomly ramping up.

The one I've got(see sig) is awesome and it plays 4K games with ease! A single card solution :)

Just to clarify, the one I've got that was under £600 only spins Fans full speed for about 3 seconds if the GPU gets particular hot.

I've no problems at all with it.

Awesome card.

Yours is also £80 more than the Zotac AMP! - Which takes away the bang for the buck aspect away :p

A lot of people on the 980Ti owners thread were happy with their Zotac AMP!s in all honesty, same with the 6G. I am not too sure if a custom fan curve sorts out the fans randomly ramping up or not.

Didn't realize :) well if some people need 2 x 980ti to get 4K gaming I guess getting this card and a g-sync monitor was a bargain!

The Zotac AMP fan problem has been acknowledged by Zotac, and they're working on a bios update to fix it.

The problem is apparently electrical interference causing the fan controller to mistakenly think the temps have momentarily changed drastically.

Surprised that problem got past their QA.

EVGA 980ti Hybrid all the way - no doubt, 5 year Gold plated warranty...25 degree idle temp, 50 degree fully loaded temp, overclocks to 1500/8000+ with no issues....and ABSOLUTELY silent!

You can buy the EVGA AIO has an option though can't you?
Looks like an amazing card though and backed by the 5 year warranty kind of makes up for the slightly higher price

:)

actually you want this card
KFA2 GeForce GTX 980Ti "Hall of Fame 8 Pack Approved Edition
fastest card on the planet....
if you disagree you can argue that point with the man himself :D

Oh Ffs, I've just took delivery of one today. Not fitted it yet.

Might send it back, can't be assed with problem solving

Did the same research and ended up with the MSI gaming 6G.

The G1 was 2nd choice only because of the fear of getting one that whines and that can be related to your PSU choice.

I received my MSI 6G last night (literally DPD are the worst, van broke down at lunchtime and I had it delivered at 9.30pm...) so haven't had a chance to stretch it's legs yet :) Quality of the card is amazing and it's very quiet.

I have the zotac amp, its actually amazing! Super quiet, my case fans are louder!

5 YEAR WARRANTY!!!! (must register within 14 days)

If money is no object either of these:

Otherwise this is a superb model which I also own, 100% silent & highest stock memory speed for the entire range 7200MHz:

You also need a very strong PSU as these cards draw a lot of power on their own especially oced & if you game above 1080 you need a decent PSU ;)

Actually this outperforms all the models you've listed and is a one card solution for 4K, I have one. 850WATT is ideal too. It comes with a 5 year warranty too.

EVGA all the way if buying a new card. Sometimes a little more expensive than the others but as previously mentioned their after sales service is second to none.

If you're thinking about watercooling down the line I'd stay clear of Zotac.
