Things to take on holiday?

passport, money, map, , camera, language phrase book, clothes, towel, toothbrush, bit of food and drink for the way to the airport and waiting to get on the plane.

leave your phones at home.

visit your friends and family with holiday photos when you get back rather than uploading to facebook when you are on holiday, gives you an excuse to to see them and talk rather than them already seeing them and being bored when you try to talk about it.

Sorry, I'll give you that - I didn't pick up on the 6 USB powered devices (Christ, even I don't have that many! :)

What someone needs to create is a 4 way power strip with 4 USB charging sockets as well :)

Get an all in one travel adapter (good for future trips!)

and pack a medium length power strip

The power strip has two advantages:
1) You only need one travel adapter
2) It solves the problem you sometimes get where plugs are in hard to reach places

My second piece of advice is: Don't get stressed about remembering everything.

Do the "wallet, phone, keys, PASSPORT, TICKETS" check before leaving the house and everything else you can buy that you forget.

Relax, enjoy.

P.S. Remember to poo through your own letterbox so that any robber who tries to break in notices the calling card of fellow burglars and thinks that the place has already been emptied.[/QUOTE]

I have a 5m usb cable for my phone charger. You wouldn't believe the places you get some plugs in hotels!

Not to ask the obvious, but where are you going? That would probably help with your question.

I mean, if you're going to Africa, don't forget to pack your skis.

Yeah, power strips are a great thing on holiday. Despite their size they don't actually take up much room and are nice and light.

Added bonus is even just allowing you to have your phone charger next to your bed lets you keep the habit of making sure it's full.

People will tell you "why can't you take a break from technology?" but to me, being able to relax is knowing I have everything available to me to answer my questions or get me out of a jam. I definitely don't take my phone to the beach :)

I'll even slide a power strip in my rucksack when I take a weekend trip to the lake district because no doubt the sockets in the B&B will be in stupid places.

Power strip would solve this problem AND let you charge the devices in a better location :)

Yep it was perfect for this :) Charged my phone, iPad and mac at the same time as well as my other half's phone and stuff. Would cost a fortune buying that many adapters and tbh wasn't that many plug sockets!

Other than that its really just normal things you would take on a holiday. Remember some sun cream depending on where you are going and some insect repellent too.

this is a good idea also ill get some tonight the last thing I want is sat on a bog most of the holiday lol

Good shout on the tablets, always handy as you might not come across any pharmacy shops. I always take tiger balm also as I usually get sore legs after working so much :D
