yeah, like a guy that isn't able to figure out how to go on holiday is going to manage to use a phone for any of those things, probably still rockin the nokia 3310 that his dad gave him...

Dump everything valuable, monies ect.. in a security box as soon as you can.

Sounds simple as, but iv'e met people abroad who haven't done this, mainly those too eager to head straight out on the lash, and lost everything.

Passport, E111 Card, Travel Insurance, Driving Licence if hiring a car, Plane tickets, hotel reservation + leave flight and hotel info with friend or relative.

Call your credit card company and tell them you're going abroad so that they don't block your card for suspicious use.

Set up roaming on your mobile phone and see of there are bundles that you can purchase that might make foreign calling cheaper, buying phone cards for local pay phones is usually cheapest.

Insect repellent, anti histamine, paracetamol, loperimide, Sun cream, aftersun.

Have you sorted your currency?

Two very good lists there, yer currency is sorted managed to get 2200 lira for the week.
