Gaming build (£2k - 2.5k budget)

If your willing to spend £3000 we are going to spec you that. If I was. Id want at least a TB of SSD Storage. As it is miles faster than mechanical.

My Raid 0 Arc's are solely for steam and they are crazy quick.

240GB SSD just isn't enough nowadays. It will fill up pretty quick. Also the OCZ Agility drives aren't the greatest.

You can change spec for a larger ssd & watercooled 980TI - maybe even SLi
"you would still have cash left over & you could get OCUK to swap out the 5820K for a 5930K... or even a 5960X"

As for the monitor I would hang back a little as there are several new IPS panels with g-sync / freesync hitting the market soon.

Spending £3500+ on a PC... My advice take your time, build it the way you want it & future proof it as much as possible.

:) ;)

What i'd be inclinned to do with this build idps switch the evga gpu's to 2x hof 8pack https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=GX-078-KF&groupid=701&catid=1914&subcat=1402 which are 1 of the fastest Ti's with a great cooler so i'm sure they would be pretty quiet with a custom fan profile and you would save £200!!
Then if your not confident get ocuk to fit you a 360 rad in the front of case and fit pump, cpu block etc pre bled, so all you do is fit and go. Clear tubing and red X1 fluid and that would look sweet as! And at a later date if you wish fit vga blocks and another 240 rad in the bottom and your good to go. Having it custom gives you options and far greater performance than any aio cooler can give you. Maintenance?? How do you maintain an aio?? You cant... If a custom loop is done right you will get a few years without touching a thing.
If your interested in this route just give OCUK a call and i'm sure they would sort you out.

Wont work due to the case (the Phnateks is better suited to all those rads+fans).

The Gigabyte board is better as it has superior sound.

That's an idea. Take the £200 saved and do the water loop as you suggested.

Don't I have to flush it every X months and refill it?

I realised the cooler/case issue a bit after posting that. I was thinking yesterday about those two not being compatible. Must've had a brain-dead moment.

Keeping in mind I know hee haw about all this, could you possibly list exactly what I should ask for for when I make the call? Perhaps even link products if that isn't cheeky to ask, so that I can at least have stuff in front of me to mention to whoever I speak to?

Sorry to be a pain in the arse :p

The case specs says it supports 360 front and 240 bottom?? And unless your using a good quality set of speakers the sound differrance is minimal. Is the Giga using a killer NIC?? Again personal prefferance but i'd stay away and use a board with an Intel one, but thats just me! :D

At Mikchi, like i said if the loop is done right and with the right fluid you could easily get 2 years use and even then its only like a car oil change, it wont stop or anything, it just may not be running at optimum in other words it could be a couple of degrees higher thats all. Its the fans that you will need to clean unless they have a filter.
Best thing to do is post your complete spec in the customer service section along with which cpu waterblock you would like, I'd recommend an EK one and tell them your budget for watercooling and they could advise a solution with your chosen case and give you a cost for pre building the loop for you.

Stock is low to none existent on EK stuff so you would need to ask but something like this would be good https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-844-EK&groupid=962&catid=1519

I have never had an issue with using killerNIC and I play BF4 everynight with the OcUK clan so fast, twitch, response quickness is a must;)

Yes the case does say 360mm TOP and 240 bottom, but the H110GT is 280mm.

280mm is 2x140mm and not 3x120mm;)

It wont go in the front of the case as you have to remove the cages and then you have no where to store the SSD or HDD

Urgh, I actually have a headache now...

I've got white graphics cards, so that's sorted.

The black Kingston RAM because I think the LEDs on the Avexir sticks look too bright in the pictures.

I can't decide on a motherboard. It's white on white with red liquid, or black/red on white with red liquid.

Maybe the two cards is enough white. Maybe the red/black mobo with red liquid and red case accent is too much red.
