Ive been telling my brother about the pc im going to be getting from here,he has said how he has been wanting to get a much better pc to surf the net and Watch HD stuff online and to watch bluray.

My brother said he has never looked into it because he just wouldnt know where to buy one from untill now,so what sort of price would he need to spend on a pre built one from here.

Thanks

All depends on what you need. Keyboard, mouse, monitor, windows?

Building your own is normally a little cheaper. Is this an option?

He wont need keyboard etc as he will have all that from what he has now,but he will need windows, building his own is not a option. money wise he said £800 would be the maximum.

Thanks, ill pass those links onto him,his computer is quite old about 15 years old,Its a HP running Windows 2000,not sure about the spec but he has trouble watching any hd content on his pc,i dont think he would be interested in a laptop. He is not a gamer but loves his films.

Would he attempt to play games on it? You could get a PC to do what you've asked of, for around £400-500. Do you want the budget used and a GPU stuck in?

I asked him today if he would want to play any games, answer is still the same,So i shall tell him about the one you linked. cheers i shall see what he thinks of it.

ok my brother is happy to buy that pc but does have a question, will it be ok to do light video conversions avi etc to dvd using a program called convertxtodvd.

And would it be ok to convert the HD video clips i send him of my family so it converts to avi or dvd format.

Cheers again,I never read in the info right on that product spec clear as day saying video encoding,This is why i hate looking at websites on my phone lol

Something i would like to ask just for me would this pc be any good for heavy video editing and encoding and picture editing using software like Lightroom&photshop premiere.
