Hello people,

Since my current laptop is not function that well, I decided to invest in a new one.

The main usage of the laptop is that of gaming, Photoshop editing and office work.

These 3 laptops seems to be good although cannot decide which one to choose.

Can you please recommend me a laptop which will meet the requirements and within the budget of 1.3k to 1.5k

Thanks and Regards,
Kavalier

I have not received mine yet :-) its on its way however I did get feedback here but I went and had a play with one and I have to say it was the quietest gaming laptop I looked at. also looked at the brands you liked above and there is some very good feedback for those models however I really liked the design of the G751 range but the cooling was the tipping point for me.

There are lots of good reviews about the ROG range as with MSI & Arous but as I said the style and cooling did it for me.

I looked at a lot of reviews of all the laptops in your list as they were also in my list but the was the ROG one I liked.

Yes that laptop seems to be nice. I will keep searching a bit more before I make my final decision. Any output from other member is more than welcome :) Thanks again Anthony.

Hi Kavalier,

I've got the exact Asus G751JT laptop that Anthony linked to above and would definitely recommend it. In terms of performance, it's really strong; I've yet to play a game so far that it has struggled with and am seriously impressed with how quiet it is.

The loudest it ever gets is just like a very gentle whooshing sound, even when playing games at maximum detail and it stays really cool on the top and bottom. Functionality wise, it's absolutely brilliant. They keyboard in particular is amazing and the screen is beautifully bright, clean and colourful. Another thing that barely anyone mentions is how it feels - the laptop is covered in a lovely soft-touch rubberised material that makes using it really nice.

I've just purchased a Alienware 15 15.6" i7-4710HQ 3.5GHz 3GB GTX 970M 16GB RAM 1TB HDD for £1,333 - thought it was a pretty sweet deal and reviews seemed good

just jumping in on this thread i too have today ordered ASUS ROG G751JT-T7115H coming from an alienware m17x-r3 machine.
what i would like to know are these asus machines a clean install or are they full of bloatware that needs to be removed?

Not clean install but could be worse...

There is norton antivirus, some asus cloud storage software and couple of other things, shouldn't take too long to sort.

As clockwork mentioned, this laptop stays cool and very quiet for a laptop. You can hear it but it never gets loud, this was the main reason I got this laptop.

It's not as powerful as my desktop but it runs all modern games without issue.

One thing to note is it's quite bulky/heavy so if you do travel with it then you will be limited to what case/backpack you can use. I got the Asus backpack and it fits everything in easily.

Buy MSI and you will get a hairdryer free. Quite literally.
And I did not mean the hot air (that too), but the noise.
My brother have MSI laptop and it's a nice machine outside gaming and roaring monster while gaming. I would look at some Acer, Asus or Aorus.
Asus would be my choice probably.

Does or should this laptop come with some kind of windows serial? Just got mine delivered but no sign of disc/serial
