Pass-Through For Grommeted Holes On Lian-Li P600 + Pics

I'm hoping someone can help me with an issue I've got. I've been searching for an alternative to the pass-through fittings on OCUK, these here :

https://www.overclockers.co.uk/showproduct.php?prodid=WC-818-EK

I need something that will allow me to use the currently grommet filled holes on the Lian-Li P600WB case. I don't really want to just run the hardline tubing through the grommet because I need to ideally attach my 1/4" female quick disconnect to the outside so it needs a sturdy fixing that can be pushed against.

The pass-through's above would be ideal if they were much larger because it looks to me like those holes are around 20mm wide. I don't have the case yet so I have no exact measurement of the holes but if anyone has dealt with this problem before then I'd be grateful for some advice. I'd rather use the holes that are already there, but if I have to then new holes will have to be drilled out to accommodate the smaller fittings. Are there alternatives out there for this job or any ideas for a work around ?

The hole looks like it would need to be aproxx 20mm so looks like it will work with maybe a minor adjustment. If its too big stick a washer either side to make it smaller.

OP why do you feel the need to go external on this case? It offers a lot of radiator mounting out of the box, see this build http://forums.overclockers.co.uk/showthread.php?t=18561258

Hi mjones1,

I've already made/got a wall mounted external loop which will be purely for the graphics cards (Two Titan X) This was something I needed for my last rig as the case cooling wasn't enough but I spent a lot of money and time getting that done so I want to keep it now. The external loop is on quick disconnects so I can just plug it in to the rear of the case. Plus I also get more room to work in the case this way so I can add extra stuff as and when it's needed without too much upheaval. I'll post some pics up when I get it all finished :)

Fair enough, makes sense then. Looking forward to seeing how it all turns out. :)

Almost done now, I just need to get some acrylic bent to cover the PSU and I'll get some pics posted.

The washers worked a treat. I needed M20, thin washers to go over the Alphacool bulkhead fittings. It's a shame they are so difficult to find but I got like a hundred of them and only used four.

+1, using external rad my self also easier to bleed the loop and better temps.

I'd never go back to a normal setup now, like you say it's a lot easier to bleed the loop, it takes just a few seconds to drain and is way cooler.
My temps have never been over 33°c since doing this and that includes when I was using it for my whole pc, MB, graphics (3x 290x at the time), CPU and in the heat of summer.

Assuming those fittings are similar to the BP version, the lip is 25mm however the inner core is 20mm (threaded)

This would allow you to fit them through the 20mm holes with little adjustment, they would also screw tight to this.

All sorted Deathjester, it was more difficult sourcing 4 of them than anything else and cheaper to buy a hundred rather than 10. 100 for £4.99 or 10 for £16, I figured I'd get 10

As I mentioned I'd post a couple of images of the build so far. It's pretty much done, just needs a little bit of lighting done on the external wall mounted part, slightly seen on the second image, and some lighting under the vent of the floor.

Wow nice looking setup man.

Thank you kindly :)

There's only a little more work to do now, on the wall mounted stuff I need to add a frosted acrylic box around the inside of the section with the fan controller to defuse the lighting a little and it'll help to hide the wiring going to the fans at the same time.

Seriously guys these comments are a big surprise to me because I know the standards on here are very high. Thank you so much, it means a lot to me.

For anyone who's wondering, the external loop does the two Titan X and the internal res setup in the rear of the case does the CPU.
