It is the media pushing an agenda. The BBC showed that tragic clip at every opportunity yesterday. Where were they earlier in the year when thousands drowned trying to cross the Med?

Instant global rolling news and social media/hysteria - scourge of modern times.
 
Loving the liberals saying let them all in, bet they will be the first to complain when the violent crimes and rapes sky rocket like in sweeden...
 
And they are a good representation of the people that are trying to get over here. Desperation or not how can they expect to be welcome in with open arms acting like savages?

saw that on the news on night shift no sound on the telly so im still at a loss why the guy basically rugby tackled his wife and kids onto some rail tracks?
 
The way I view this situation is that refugees are trying to get away from somewhere, whereas migrants are trying to get to somewhere. So all those people in safe countries demanding to go somewhere else are migrants trying to game the system, and creating resentment for those who truly are in need.

This is seriously going to come back and bite Europe in the ass, I really really mean it. I feel bad for the average German folk who rightfully don't want to pay for them thinking well why should I pick up the pieces of Syria's civil war?

The west seems to have a guilty white man complex going on or something.... cause some of the richest nations who are Muslim haven't let any in.

Yep.

The facts don't lie, the rape rate in Sweden has soared since they let in migrants... I don't understand how people in their right minds think this will end well? I really don't. And history so far has shown us how much trouble it has been even allowing a small number in, do they think 800k Syrians are going to fair any better?

It's mind boggling.

That's what I thought initially. Thankfully, the government's proposal is quite a bit more selective than you are perhaps implying. The proposal is to take only displaced Syrians directly from refugee camps in Lebanon. The government ruled out taking any of the individuals in Hungary for example.

Well way I see it is, if people want to help they can donate but I don't understand why the public purse is used to fund it? what about the people who don't wish to pay because they sit here in the UK watching the public services they've paid tax towards getting cut.

His approach is sensible. £100m in humanitarian aid for those in camps in Syria, Turkey, Jordan and the Lebanon. Then only take in some of those seeking asylum from these camps.

At least then we will be able to sort out the genuine ones from the economic migrants and possibly exclude any extremist elements trying to get into the country.

I'm quite happy to see a number of people accepted into this country by what is being planned.
