Well the mrs has a 1st gen Moto G (8GB) at the time it was good for the money(£110) and has ran out of room to update any games/ OS due to no SD slot :(

1 - She has an old contract and has no 3g/4g data and uses wifi for emails/games. So anything that can handle 4G.

Shall move her on to GiffGaff.

2 - needs SD slot 32gb+

3 - wants a decent camera.

4 - bigger screen

5 - Android 5 +

I have been looking at the 3RD gen of the moto G as well as the THL 2015 Chinese phones for her

£130 - £160 max

Smart Ultra 6 as already mentioned looks good. I personally would avoid Chinese phones when buying for my partner. Coming from a pretty solid and reliable performer like the Moto G might lend itself to sticking to a very straight forward and near stock phone. The new Swift looks good for the money https://www.wileyfox.com/swift/ but is using Cyanogen which I'm not familiar with.

Why avoid Chinese phones when the specs of the phones are amazing for the price? Going with the popular brands/reputable sellers, you shouldn't have problems.

Again, that's just me personally, you or the op are more than welcome to embrace Chinese phones. Just in my experience some could be a bit more niggly or have poorer support. That's why if I was buying a present for example, I would most likely stick to an experience that my partner would be more used to.

cheers all,

still yet undecided might end up with the moto V3 at £160 :/

But looking at THL 2015 model (Chinese)
