"FAPOUT"
he avoided Manny by running around the ring and hugging him every 15 seconds. lol like most of his fights.
He's stronger and faster than her, she has a professional career fighting no talent female MMA stars. Her last fight was truly embarrasing, the other chick didn't know how to take a punch, how to throw a punch, how to defence... and still Rousey couldn't just throw her easily at will.
MMA people all seem to be quite special. Firstly athletes tend to train in many different sports and it's a HUGE assumption to make that he's not trained in other disciplines.
Second, because someone knows judo doesn't mean they can simply walk up to anyone and throw them... I mean, I don't even know how anyone can believe that yet every single person saying she'd beat him up bases it on this. He's never grappled so she'd own him... seriously?
Without any formal training you don't know how to resist someone picking you up, really? You realise in most exhibitions of judo and the like people are there to be thrown, they effectively go limp and don't resist then roll into a throw for the purpose of showing the move. Notice in a real judo fight people grab hold of each other and have to work really hard to actually throw their opponent. He's bigger and MUCH stronger than her. The idea she can walk up to him and put him on his arse because she has training and he doesn't is utterly ludicrous. It is a pure assumption he hasn't had training and if there was a fight he could you know... errm.. .oh right TRAIN before it. The question is if they got in a ring or octagon who would win, not if she jumped an unsuspecting Mayweather behind Denny's could she win.![]()

Yes, Mayweather would easily beat her in any type of fight.
Yeah, because Manny wasn't allowed to run in and take him down.
Wow, haven't read most of this thread but just had to step in here. Mayweather is a boxer, he fights within a very specific set of boundaries. He isn't used to being elbowed in the face, or bracing against low kicks, or grappling on the floor, getting himself out of arm bars etc. Anyone who knows anything about modern day MMA or Vale Tudo knows that pure boxers stand absolutely no chance against anyone who understands a variety of disciplines, its a WHOLE different ball park and almost all fights invariably end up on the floor, where boxing is of no use.
Seriously, people commenting about stuff they have no idea about because they did some flashy 'Tae Kwon Do' when they were 13 or something LOL
Royce Gracie once said "A boxer is like a lion, the greatest warrior on land.. But you throw them in the shark tank and they're just another meal" It couldn't be more true.
Vanessa Hanson.Much, much, much prefer the girl in the background, now she's yummy.
It is you that knows nothing.
He is male so already has a massive advantage, he is strong all over and you are making the absolutely huge assumption that he is just going to box while she can do anything.
In the old days of Budokan a boxer would have his legs kicked to death but nowadays they would be much wiser in a fight.
If he went up against one of the male MMA's then it would be a different matter.
You also make the assumption I was 13 but in fact around 23 and got to black belt status in both Karate and Judo.
I was still crap though.
I don't think it's cut and dried either way. Boxing, after all, is a sport with clearly defined rules, whereas MMA tends to be more about the practicalities of incapacitating someone.
Could a boxer hold his own against a good martial artist of the same gender?
Like I said above, you are making the assumption that Mayweather will stand there boxing while Ronda does what she likes.
If a match was announced do you think he would carry on his boxing practise or do you think he would get some Brazilian Ju-Jitsu trainer in?
You are also making the assumption that he doesn't know any other styles and that if he goes to ground he won't be able to defend himself or at the very least not allow any of his limbs to be manipulated.
I agree that if Mayweather went up against his male counterpart in MMA he would have trouble and I'd put my money on MMA but no woman is going to beat him.
Mayweather will have a lifetime of boxing training and experience. The MMA fighter will have a lifetime of MMA training and experience. Even if the Mayweather called in a MMA trainer before the fight, he won't have time to really become competent to the level needed, surely?
However I hate to be sexist but this a man at the top of his fighting skills against a woman at the top of her fighting skills.
I've never seen a physical sport where a woman can compete at the same level with her male counterpart (mixed tennis maybe).
I would always put my money on MMA but not a woman against a man at the top of his fighting skill.
