In fact most woman do.... but they think girls look like they do at the club every hour of the day. Make up and photoshop has distorted some peoples idea of looks.

Edit: Biggest difference is usually the eyes, compare make up on and off on a girl. Eyelashes and eye shadow make a HUGE difference. I believe difference sometimes in a lot of girls looks is clearly some girls are better at putting on makeup.

I really do think most woman with a cocktail dress and proper make up / hairdo can scrub up pretty good.

Who came up with this stupid trend shaving their eyebrows off and painting them back on? Some are even like wings. I find it awful.

Yet so many ordinary women seem to be against relatively natural eyebrows.

I agree completely. Your natural facial bone structure is what it is, unless you're willing to spend hours doing fancy contouring that's not going to change. Eyes are the key to it all, you can do so much with them, make them change shape, even colour if you've got muddy-puddle coloured eyes like mine. I'd say that eyebrows can make a huge difference too, they frame your face and I despair when I see the current trend of painted on eyebrows. Yeah natural eyebrows are a pain to maintain but for the sake of ten minutes with the tweezers every 3 or 4 days a natural, tidy, neatly shaped pair of eyebrows with a tint of dark colour looks a million times better than anything else.

All that said, if a guy expects me to look like I've just stepped out of a MAC makeover 24 hours a day, he can go take a walk.

Thing is, I don't think us blokes need to take the rap for that.

I think women's mags have done the damage. They convince young girls that being absolutely drowned in makeup is absolutely necessary.

Then you can also thank the cosmetics industry and their massive advertising campaigns.

But not every bloke even likes this. Plenty prefer girls without all that crap on.
