I've had my eye on evga 980ti kingpin edition but it seems other vendors are also catching to extreme pre overclocked versions. With Msi's Lightning and Asus' matrix platinum. Any reviews or benchmarks for these cards in comparison with each other @ 4k. No point getting 60hz+ monitors if framerates can't push past them

If you're willing to spend 700£ on the gpu, you might as well water cool a reference card. You'll get more (or at least the same) performance, lower noise and temps.

If you want to game at 4K or past 60hz at 1440p you'll need two cards anyway.

Best 980 Ti for silly money is err the TitanX with a custom waterblock but you need several to get the most out of them.

To answer your question properly it would be the Kingpin 980 Ti with a very high ASIC (you can choose the ASIC) which you would have to pay a lot of money for.

I can't max out some games at 1440p, so that's arguable.

+1

Crysis 3 maxed

There are games that are more demanding than The Witcher 3 or Crysis 3 out there too.

If you are going to run at 4K you will need 2 x 980ti or titan X. Just buy one give it a try you will soon want to buy a second.
