Radio Control BB-8 - (new cute SW ep7 ball droid)

I want one but think I would get bored with it quickly.

Also having 4 dogs and 3 cats, it would probably wouldn't last long!

Waiting for mine to be delivered from Firebox, relying on Yodal to send it is always fun.

If it bores me after a short while i'll just sell it, won't lose too much.

I just ordered one of these, really shouldn't have as it's a massive impulse buy, but the want was too strong.

Really want one even though it would be a huge waste of money.

Already seeing them for £200+ on ebay though even though they are still in stock from some genuine retailers for £130 . People are stupid.

Also, it is only the start of September. People buying them up to sell at inflated prices at Xmas are taking a big risk in my opinion. They will have absolutely loads of these things to sell for Christmas!

Bought one for my son's Christmas, didn't want to leave it until the film came out as no doubt there would be a mob descend on the stores and getting it could then could be quite difficult.

Every number one, hell top 10 Christmas presents always sell out.

Made a bundle on PS4's a couple of years ago, again not enough stock.

I don't think these will be all sold out for Christmas, there will be lots of greedy people that tried to spoil many children's Christmases for a few pounds, out of pocket :)

The PS4 came out on November 29th though....

There are 4 months until Christmas. I bet Disney will make damn sure that they will have enough stock to sell to one and all by Christmas.

Man toys yes, for kids for xmas plus other stuff not a chance, how much do people really need to spend on silly toys that will be smashed to bits within days, if the kid wants one make him chop some wood up in the backyard to earn the gift:)

Don't even know what the hell it is but could consider buying one if that thing actually had a real camera on it too.

I think I have managed to fight back the child in me and resist.

Whilst I accept the tech is quite clever, £130 is a ridiculous amount of money for this.

I suspect I will play with it for a few days and that would be it.

If it was more like £50 I would bite.

The only thing that annoys me about this (other than the inflated price) is how much the head rolls around in "real world" use. The promotional film makes it looks very controlled in how it moves, reality is the head wobbles and slides around wildly, sometimes even banging back up off the floor, somewhat ruining the illusion. Assuming it's attached via a magnet? Wish they would have made it just a tad stronger so it didn't move around quite as easily.

Neat toy, but you know it will be the sort of thing that ends up on a shelf or in a cupboard after not very long at all as there's only so much you can do with a rolling ball around your home :p
