*******THREAD EDIT/UPDATE******

So it seems, its narrowed down to two cars according to deals on offer from leasing company.

2.0 VW passat se business 150hp
inc metallic paint
35k pa Fully Maintained £456.34+
116 co2 - Bik 20% payer £95.64

2.0 Ford mondeo powershift 180hp
Grey or deep impact blue in stock
Active Park system upgrade with front & rear sensors.
35k pa fully maintained £454.20
125 co2 20% payer £103.81
Sony Nav with dab upgrade also included as well as cruise.

Ive had the passat for the day last week, and i really liked it. Especially the adaptive cruise.

Ive only managed to drive the mondeo 1.6 manuel for 20 mins due to fords crappy test drive services. So couldnt get the best feel, but liked the space available. Looked more gadety...

What are your opinions on the 2 options?

BMW is a no go, as i cant test drive due to only having my car license 11 months, (even though ive had full licence 6 years)
also to get similar spec, it seems id be over budget.

Audi's, again price for anything with similar spec seems to go over budget.

Id appreciate your thoughts again on this, as its driving me nuts, it needs to be right as ill be living in it!

I surprised that you liked the CT200h, I've had a few as courtesy cars and the drivetrain and suspension are woefully mismatched as the engine simply can't deliver what is needed to make the 'sporty' ride worth it. Instead you get the worst of both worlds, a needlessly hard ride coupled with a pretty lethargic engine. Still compared to a Yaris hybrid........

For 30000miles/year I'd want to be in a bigger car. Is an IS300h an option or even a BMW 320ED?

How is the £30k budget and the monthly figure of £450 related?

Surely it would be one or the other, no?

If the car is to be leased then don't you just get a list from the leasing company to see what £450 gets you?

So being dreary is entirely irrelevant then?

I am sorry, what is the problem here? OP has asked for suggestions on what he should get. Are we only allowed to comment on the exact parameters given in the OP now (which are limited - he has just said he needs a company car and listed a few he is thinking about)?

I was just voicing my opinion that I think the Passat is quite dreary so that wouldn't be my choice.

There is a list, I haven't seen it myself yet but been told it's endless, even has Aston martins ...

My boss told me to look at £30k Max. But I've also been told to look at a mother budget of £450 all in.

Of course, its a contract hire agreement.

To keep tax down I looked at Prius plugin (if you liked ct200h maybe you'd be ok with the super boring drive), Mistubishi Outloader PHEV. In the end I got the VW golf GTE but i'm still waiting for it... who knows if it'll arive! Mondeo hybrid could be ok but at 99g it didn't seem like a great deal. Quite liked the Volvo V40/S60 with the D4 engines.

Prius wpuldnt work with the miles I do daily. And it is fugly!

I really like the look of the model, and its price seems reasonable with a lot of extras
Octavia vrs?

I like them a lot, but costs due to emissions are too much.

Is it worth looking at the standard model?

1/2 series?

I'm still thinking about a 1 series. It's just will I kick myself If I dont go saloon.
Also to have any decent spec inside it cost £££ extra

I quite like its new look. I just need to get in one to see which way I swing !

Isn't the Lexus either the same or a very similar power train to the Prius? Can't see how one works but not the other

Also I assume you're looking at the diesel vrs? There is also the Octavia scout which has the diseasel engine in a lower state of tune and, I assume a better bik bracket

Isn't the Prius plug in and charge he's mentioend?

If it's a hybrid like the lexus, with the same power. Then it's based solely on its looks. Which is much nicer! Especially the model I drove.
