^This.Check case fits long gfx cards and PSU is upto the job etc.
£350 is a bad budget for a graphics card in my opinion. It's slap in the middle of the gap between decent mid range cards like the 970 and 390 and high performers like the 980ti. In the middle where your budget is you get wishy washy cards that cost a lot more than the 970 or 390 but don't give loads more performance, but are also just sneaking up towards the cheapest 980ti, yet without having anything like the grunt.
390, ARMA 3 is barely heavy on the GPU and it's more about the CPU, so imo if at 1440p no reason to step up to 980Ti etc. 390 will play 1440p very well on ARMA 3 I would expect
However, if you will play more demanding games in the future, might be worth getting 980Ti![]()
^This.
IMO just go for a 390 8GB at around £230, or stretch all the way to around £500 for either 980Ti or Fury X (or a pair of 390 8GB if you got a powerful enough PSU and don't mind the amount of heat being dump out of the case into your room), depending on if you think you going to upgrade to a Freesync or Gsync monitor in the future.
Idd 390 or go big (980ti/fury x). But if you plan to keep it for longer than 2 years I'd probably stay away from Nvidia for now.
And if you can handle the crossfire/sli issues, slow gaming profile releases etc
i left 2 280x tri-x's for a 980ti on those reasons plus the crazy loud fans and heat
