The EU Migrant Crisis

That's already happened in Hungary, migrants were going to be transported to camps and they basically protested *cough* demanded to be taken to Germany.

I'm sorry but you don't have the privilege of demanding anything, if food, water and shelter is being offered, you take it with some gratitude, and be thankful that you're no longer in a war zone.

They also tried to process them properly, I assume names id's etc and they all kicked off in a mini riot.

Wonder why?

How dumb are you, man? I doubt there has ever been such an influx of business and entrepreneurship than when Asians came here. It's hard to understand if you are a bigot and closed off to people of other cultures, but most Asian people are extremely hard working because their parents, born in countries where you have to work hard to stay alive, have brought them up that way. To say otherwise is just idiocy, or you don't know any Asians. I'm thinking the former.

I think a lot of the areas in which Asians typically go into business (I won't list them, but it's pretty obvious) are generally businesses very suited to fixing figures, under reporting sales, etc, for tax purposes. Corruption is a much bigger thing in Asia and their countries of origin, this is a well documented fact.

Yes it does, they are no longer seeking refuge if they already have refuge in a safe country.

No it doesn't - according to the UNHCR (you know, the global organisation that deals with refugees, of which the EU and the UK are signatories) that doesn't stop them being a refugee.

UNHCR Refugee definition:-

Owing to a well-founded fear of being persecuted for reasons of race, religion, nationality, membership of a particular social group or political opinion, is outside the country of his nationality, and is unable to, or owing to such fear, is unwilling to avail himself of the protection of that country.

Does moving from Turkey to Hungary change any of that? No, it doesn't.

If you want to make up a seperate definition of what what constitues a refugee to suit your own narrow viewpoint, then go right head, but it doen't make you right.

It's unbelievable that people are calling for these 'refugees' to be housed and paid for by the British state. Already we are at breaking point in terms of capacity and have an immigration problem without an extra few hundred thousand seeking a free meal ticket and housing.

It's difficult enough for UK citizens to purchase a home particularly on the relatively wide spread low incomes they endure, coupled with taxation and national health yet there is an incredible amount of delusional headline following morons who claim we should accept many thousands in to the country to use the NHS, Housing, Welfare and Civil Services. How many of these petition signing idiots would allow a fighting aged male to stay in their home with their family or children? How many will continue arguing the point when rape and terrorism increase ten fold? How many will continue to 'fight the cause' when they have a family member or child in need of life saving surgery only to find that they can't as there isn't enough staff to cope or they are too low down on a waiting list due to hundreds of freeloaders? How many will still be championing immigration when the police can't attend their emergency call?

I will happily be called a racist or a xenophobe whilst upholding the argument of pragmatism and common sense as this is the only argument that ever comes back as these human rights flag bearers have no concept of reality; it's the go to answer to call someone heartless or racist.

And instead of cheering these people of a train and showering them with gifts and cash why don't we go sort the problem at source and intervene, I am more than happy to go back out there. Oh wait, we can't because that would mean all the people defending an influx of several hundred thousand people would have to redress their arguments and find a new topic from the internet and media to moan about because the UK Govt would be tackling the problem.

The most disgusting thing about our nation is that there are so many who have absolutely no idea how the world works and expect everything on a plate and will protest at the slightest outcry. I'll bet the majority signing petitions are the ones who were outraged a lion was shot in Zimbabwe and rejoiced that the law was changed. However, these same people weren't out in force a week later when Zimbabwe reneged on the law change, alas it wasn't a headline news so they didn't know.

I'll take a million Syrian refugees from the refugee camps, so long as we can send a million of our idiots the other. Shouldn't be hard to find, we should start in the internet forums first.

...snip........

No need to hold back pal, we're all friends on here, tell us what you really think.

You first?

I wonder how many Doctors David Cameron will be hiring to meet the needs of these 20,000 "refugees". I bet it's the same amount as the new houses he'll be building.

BBC more neutral in its reporting tonight, calling them migrants as well as refugees, and pointing out that not all were escaping from war-zones. They also said that, "As news of people reaching Germany filters back to Turkey and Syria, more have now decided to make the journey."

Exactly what Cameron doesn't want, but Merkel apparently doesn't mind.

At least they are now calling this situation unprecedented, and admitting that we have less than no idea how it will end. Or how many will have come once the dust settles.

It could well be millions.

FSA have also been involved in dodgy dealings.

If he cared so much why has he left and is still not fighting for a free Syria? my point i'm making is nobody can really be sure of anyone coming out of that place....that is the problem.

coming to wage jihad for his 12 virgins , He'll probably take them as part of a muslim rape gang in advance

(not being serious)

For that to apply you would have to prove there is a well founded fear of being prosecuted by Hungary and thus be unwilling to stop there (or indeed any of the nations they have walked through). Which may be a hard sell considering they are handing out provisions and allowing safe passage.

If there is no well founded fear, then they are no longer refugees. Did you even read what you quoted?

Btw, when's your paper coming out?

How about moving from Turkey, to Hungary, stopping off in Germany for some schnitzel, deciding that is crap so jumping moving through France to Calais?

I mean, they've got to feel safe that a bomb isn't go to drop on them at some point, no?

The more you read about the FSA, the more you realise they aren't the good guys, and never were. A lot of them are islamist. With Assad gone, they were just as likely to end up with an islamic govt than a secular one.

We had no business trying to remove Assad, beyond the fact that his policies weren't aligned with the US/the west.

A decent summary, but you can find the info in other places if you don't like a random wordpress blog ;)

So yeah, FSA, ISIS... there isn't much difference.

You know that a lot of FSA members defected and joined ISIL? Apparently, the FSA barely even exists these days.

This must be Camerons nightmare scenario, getting elected on an economy and anti immigration ticket, and now this happens...

That's what I was getting at, comparing them to ghurkas isn't exactly accurate....
