The EU Migrant Crisis

Yet the people who live there seem to like it.

They do seem overly lenient on criminals.

Somali immigrant rapes a 12 year old girl and gets 180 hours community service.

Just... wow.

The Swedish media are fully behind immigration, and report crimes by immigrants who don't even have Swedish nationality, as crimes by Swedes.

It's like they're all in denial.

If any of the immigrants coming here to that - raping a 12 year old while punching her in the face - I should hope he gets put on the nearest leaking boat to the Arctic.

Cliffs:

They don't want people from other countries living there permanently and the leaders don't give a **** about Western pressure

BBC article said:
Amid the criticism, it is important to remember that the Gulf states have not stood by and done nothing for Syria's refugees.

Yeah, they've donated millions to ISIS :D

So yeah, they're helping their muslim brothers, just not quite in the way we were hoping :p

What's been debunked? The article contains so many verifiable facts that you must be more specific.

Literally the first graph on that "article" is incredibly misleading. Different countries have different offence definitions and the Swedish definition is very broad. If you took the Swedish definition it would include the first four offences as defined in the Sexual Offences Act 2003 all in one. Not only that, but in the UK there are many scenarios where the Home Office Counting Rules (HOCR) would only record one crime where Sweden would record multiple. This clearly shows that it cannot be comparable, indeed the original authors warned against such use specifically.

I could spend the rest of the evening debunking the whole of this very poorly put together article, but I have better things to do. Anyone with an ounce of critical thinking would be able to see that the article has systemic flaws that render it dubious at absolute best.

Not 'debunked' as such, but wasn't it proved that it being called the rape capital of the west was based on the amount of reported sex crime, but because of the way Swedens police charge people means that loads of different crimes count as sex crimes when they don't here?

I've worded that badly but I'm sure thats the reason. I'll see if I can find the proof once I've had some dinner.

But its effectively like saying if we report speeding fines as sex crimes we suddenly become the rape capital of the world.

e:ffs, not only beaten but its worded correctly too, what he said ^^ :p

That's not at all fair. You're implying that the article is completely wrong (yet there are corroborating articles by other authors), and implying that we're stupid for believing it..

Then you say you won't actually submit any evidence to the contrary?

So we're just supposed to take your word for it. Well, that's not good enough mate.

I suppose migrants aren't committing sex crimes in Sweden like they won't be committing sex crimes over here.
Personally I think one sex crime is one too many.

I'm not sure a reserved 'told you so' is enough, we'll probably need a whole thread.

Heres another article that explains how it works:

http://www.bbc.co.uk/news/magazine-19592372

Explains in detail but incase you don't want to read, essentially:

"So, for instance, when a woman comes to the police and she says my husband or my fiance raped me almost every day during the last year, the police have to record each of these events, which might be more than 300 events. In many other countries it would just be one record - one victim, one type of crime, one record."

I'm saying the article has significant structural issues from just a glance, let alone a proper analysis. Corroboration doesn't mean that it's any more reliable when you're cherry picking sources.

I'm not saying that you're stupid for believing it, I'm saying it's clearly been chosen to fit an agenda without worrying about the actual rigor of the evidence.

Yeah I read it. Which means the headline of the article was incorrect. There is still a lot of stuff in the article which they couldn't have simply lied about, as it appears in a number of other articles, and has as its source a Swedish national monitoring agency.

Sweden does have a problem with immigrant rapists.
