Please remember that any mention of competitors, hinting at competitors or offering to provide details of competitors will result in an account suspension. The full rules can be found under the 'Terms and Rules' link in the bottom right corner of your screen. Just don't mention competitors in any way, shape or form and you'll be OK.
mmj_uk - do they make green tin foil hats, or did you have to spray yours specially?![]()
Too many people get so wrapped up in what the opposition is doing, they forget that they buy a GPU/'s to play games and enjoy themselves. It doesn't matter what you have in your PC, so long as you enjoy it and I am sure we all strive for the same thing?
AMD have their faults, Nvidia have their faults but I will buy what suits me best.
Now then, anyone heard of any other DX12 games?
Spot on sir, and well put.
Personally hoping for a Crysis-type game for DX12. Not so much gameplay wise, but more from the point of view of a real showcase of what the tech can do, even if it means only being able to play it on Medium with current GPUs. I used to really enjoy upgrading GPU and being able to put Crysis up a notch and see how beautiful it was each time, rather than just seeing an FPS increase in a game with each GPU upgrade.
King of Wushu is another DX12 title coming that I just remembered, so that makes 2 a piece
Edit:
And wasn't Nvidia showcasing a FF game with DX12?
Are you on about the Agni's Philosophy: Witch - Chapter 0 Cry tech demo? Wasn't a game, literally just a tech demo to showcase DX12 and how pretty Squeenix can make things![]()
If you're going with potential GameWorks going in a Squeenix game, I can't see it myself - they know how to make **** super pretty without premade effects. But yeah, it was running on 4 Titans iirc.
Hitman 6 is being listed as getting DirectX 12

Another AMD title is Star Citizen so there is 4 games already.
It's been pretty obvious for a long time now, I mentioned this in a Bulldozer/Pildedriver (forgot which) thread several years ago now now. Back then it was often users with less than 100 posts suddenly popping up posting about how great their new AMD system was in any thread that was negative towards AMD.
You only have to look through maonayze short post history to see that he posts exclusively in Freesync/AMD threads (with the odd foray into NVidia ones) and it's either to defend AMD or put in a marketing pitch for AMD, even in the monitor forum his posts constantly pimp the Fury cards.
I don't doubt that this will be part of AMDMatt and AMDJoe job description.
Feel free to post evidence of 'shadergate' as you call it affecting NVidia performance because so far there is none, including the game which started it all off. It's not like AMD's tessellation where we have tangible evidence of performance falling off a cliff, both synthetically and in games.
You really think the overclockers forum is the best place for AMD to be putting their efforts in to viral marketing?!
Also, I completely lost it at the IP checking/shadow accountsIt's only Me and AMDMatt on here as far as I know from AMD.

Star citizen was going to be using mantle, which it obviously now isn't, but they are also "signed up" to use physx for particles and clothing, turbulence, TXAA, HBAO+ etc.
