Officially this hasn't happened since the 18th century, but it's unclear how many laws have been changed or vetoed due to advice from the privvy council.

Anyway, my point is that the UK is a particularly poor example of separation of church and state and is one of the strongest democracies on earth.

Did I say that? NO.

All I wanted to know was if the police had the resources to deal with mass rioting, as it seemed the London riots pushed the Met to it's limits.

Off topic I know but it wasn't a thinly veiled anti-immigrant question, despite you knowing my stance on the subject.
