Another spec me a car thread

Ok, so my trusty and well serving Focus has just epically failed its MOT. Requires welding, wheel bearings, ball joints, brake pipes, engine problems, you name it.. The failure sheet is almost full

Garage have said it is not worth fixing.

So I am looking for another run around about Focus size but I would rather not have another Focus! Budget about £1k - £2k.

A quick browse of Auto Trader and I am thinking along the lines of Honda Civic or Mazda 3. What do people think to those? Any other suggestions most welcome

Most Mazda 3's for under 2k will probably have more rust than your Focus. I vote for the old favourite: Mondeo

I don't think I could get used to driving a big boat like that

Can't really go wrong with a Civic or Corolla.
