I think bt are stealing my internet for there new ultrafast service

So when i got my infinity 2 package over 4 years ago it ran @ 80/20 perfectly and continued too for 1 1/2 years and then the local exchange broke and my speed once fixed was 67/20 and since then it has slowly got worse to the point were it was at 61/20 a couple of months ago which can be explained by more and more people using it in my area but now i am at 50/20 :(

I went from 61 to 50 over night and it has never returned and yesterday when checking on different packages (my contract is up there is a thread about it on here asking for opionin's) i came across the fact that my area can now get the ultrafast broadband and tbh losing over 10 meg and the new service being available seem's to have happened at the same time.

I also tried to find out info about the service and was redirected to 4 different branch's then put on a waiting list for callback later that day to then be told i do not qualify as i do not have the right postcode even though my number qualified :rolleyes: and that i cant be told anything about the price or how it works or what problem's it could be causing not that it could be causing any problems that is ;).

So has anyone else had any issues in the new ultrafast area's? or has anyone else just suddenly in the last month or two lost a good portion of there speed for no reason?
 
Sounds like crosstalk and you've been affected quite severely it seems...

Can you access your router stats and post them here?

Maybe your attainable is still higher, and you've had a hit by DLM placing you on an even lower sync?
 
You may have a fault on your line which is causing the broadband to be unstable, this will keep slowing the profile speed until it is able to find a secure speed which it can give you stable service at which may explain the lower speed as it will drop to a speed it can ,maintain without drop outs in your sync

Sounds like when they were fixing the exchange they moved your line to an inferior pair.
