Court Case: woman tricked into sex with a woman pretending to be a man

I guess some people are just so desperate for intimacy that they overlook the alarm bells because they don't want to let go of that human contact.

Incredibly naive, but being lonely can change your perspective and cloud your judgement.

Perhaps this woman saw how lonely her friend was and this was her way of giving her something to cheer her up? Very odd thinking in my opinion, but the elaborate nature of the lies and the fact it seemed more about giving the unnamed woman something rather than taking from her lead me to suspect this could be an act of best intentions? (at least in her head).

Anyone asking you to put a blind fold on should set some bells off. If its internet dating and blind folds then that's not a good combo.

nope, no 'good' intentions here at all.

During this time, the woman said she met Newland, who became a close friend and said she knew Fortune. Eventually, the complainant and Fortune decided to meet in person at a Chester hotel, the jury heard.

the woman pretending to be a man only befriended her after she had began her scam.

met her online, most likely identified her as an easy target, began her ruse then befriended her. for all the naivety of the victim this other lady needs jailed - she is clearly a calculating, conniving ****

Ah, I thought they were friends already so fair point.

Crazies gonna crazy! :p

lol, seems so.

I get your original point though, if it had been an existing friend then maybe they were trying to do the lonely lass a favour.

but I mean if she's stuck there's plenty of actual men on here would be more than happy to take her out on a date :p

I am really lonely, I would have cuddled her for as long as she wanted...

I can't quite believe this story. My boss made me laugh when she said, "why is the victim now impersonating someone with a brain?".

Game changer: Woman pretending to be a man is actually a post op man.

What?? Craziest story I've heard in some time. Maybe she'd never had the real D before so it felt natural? ahaha.

+1 for the regretful "I need compensation for my stupidity" approach.

Woman tricked friend into having sex by pretending to be a man, court hears

Gayle Newland is accused of bandaging her body, wearing prosthetic penis and making victim wear blindfold during five alleged sexual assaults

http://www.theguardian.com/uk-news/...d-friend-into-having-sex-pretending-to-be-man

The set up for this one is so contrived, it's just incredible that it worked for four liaisons before the victim noticed on the fifth go.

Anyway, the court case is ongoing, but what does GD think - is it sexual assault, or just regretful sex?

Why would she have sex with a "man" that she'd never met without a blindfold or without speaking a word to? And why would you want to go to court over it? Absolutely bizaare.

More to the fact that even before the sex, they over a 100 hours together and she was always blindfolded even when watching tv!

The court heard that the pair spent at least 100 hours together in person after striking up an intense online relationship over two years, and even became engaged. At each meeting, the complainant wore a blindfold, not just when they had sex but when they sunbathed or watched films together and even on one occasion when they went out in Kye’s car.

they did meet, often. But she always had to wear a blindfold.

This is the oddest thing Ive ever read.

i love the fact that she says she should have realised on the 3rd occasion of having sex when after he left and she took the blindfold off, she saw her getting into her car and driving away.

The victim is clearly the most gullible woman on earth.

That's just..... how do you even....

Mind = blown.

She said in court when she meant watch, he would watch tv and she would just listen to it. I know. 100 hours in the company of a person and you are required to wear a blindfold at all times and you comply.

I'm surprised she hasn't just dropped dead at some point in her life, how a brain that stupid is even able to keep s person breathing is beyond me.

Amazing story.

Honestly, if it was transcribed from a court case I would think the papers were making it up.

I can see this been a film in a few years time.
