Having some anoying hard lockups.

I have updated my nvidia drivers to the latest version and everything seems to be up to date.

Every so often my whole machine will just freeze completely and no key combinations/mouse will work so i have to do a hard reset.

Event viewer shows no errors at all or even any events at the time of the freeze. This is a clean W10 install and never happened in my last OS.

I have had a similar experience that seemed to go away after the last round of updates that Microsoft put out. Right now my computer is boxed up whilst I await the purchase of my new house to complete, so cannot confirm that the problem is fully resolved.

In searching I didn't seem to get any conclusive answer to resolve and did notice that there were a fair amount of other users having the same problem.

My laptop has suffered the same on three occasions since I updated it to 10 Home, it never showed any signs of hard locking under 8.1, hoping that the big update coming in October sorts it otherwise I'll be putting 8.1 back on it.

I was plagued with this constantly, never found any evidence of the cause anywhere. Another clean install and later the problem came back again. I narrowed it down to EaseUS Todo Backup, once I removed that I had no more problems. If I reinstall it I start getting lockups again, so it's gone for good now... *spit*

Turned out to be realtek audio drivers. I uninstalled them and my audio still works perfectly fine + no freezes.

thought I would update this incase it helps anyone searching for a fix.

Nice thanks,

Really annoying when people just disappear once they fix a problem without telling the forums how they fixed it...
