Guys just received the parts for my new build

S I have 500GB SSD and a 4TB Hybrid Drive

Can you advise me on where to install windows operating system, on the SSD or the hybrid drive?

I mean the hybrid drive is faster than normal drives but will it be like the SSD?

Im gonna install Windows 7 1st then service pack 1 then on to windows 10 upgrade..

I don't think i can jump onto windows 10 immediately coz the key i have is for 7

ssd definitely, which hybrid drive did you buy?

i got the 4tb seagate SSHD 5900rpm for 140 quid, isn't hybrids suppose to be faster than standard drives?

and for the SSD i got the kingston 480gb ssd

soon im gonna get a crucial blazing fast m.2 500gb SSD stick, maybe i should have added the £50 and got it now instead of the kingston standard ssd !!!!!

anyways im gonna build it right now, 2800 i spent in total, should take me 2 days or so?

Also will be posting from my laptop as im expecting problems, Im just hoping non of the stuff I got is DOA !!!

Make sure you take your time if its your first build. If you feel your getting tired or stressed, STOP, as you might make mistakes.

Another point is, install your operating system with only the SSD installed. Then install the 2nd drive. Windows has an annoying thing where it will put crap on the other drive while its installing and this will slow down your SSD loading times a lot.

mobo 1st, install the cpu

insert the back plate for the all in one cpu cooler

insert the mobo on the case

insert the ram ssd

then go on from there?

is that a good way to go?

Yes, thats fine. Make sure the mobo standoff are where screws are. Dont want any shorting!
