I've played Destiny for about 2 weeks prior to the 2.0 update and to say I am confused with the new update is an understatement.
Firstly does anyone know why I only have the Vanguard Legacy Strike available in orbit? And it's only set to level 20 with no option to make it harder.
Also what's with picking up older quests it says I abandoned? I don't recall abandoning any quests. There's one particular quest chain with Titan Vanguard that asks me to come back at lol 5, 10, 15, 20 etc. The only way to get the quest to advance is to go to orbit and back againwhich is a bit of a pain.
I don't have any of the expansions yet as I propose to buy them all when ttk is released and I am currently level 32 with 118 light.

The game is in a sort of limbo state right now until launch on the 15th. Not a lot to do apart from gunsmith, bounties and the new crucible modes.
The strikes have been revised. There are new difficulties coming next week.
Does anyone know if the Taken King legendary edition comes with separate DLC codes, or is all the DLC on one code?
The reason why I ask is I think I will buy it if the codes are separate, because I can use the Taken King code and sell all the rest to bring the cost down to a more reasonable level. I think it's mad that they're selling the standalone Taken King for more than the legendary edition with everything. No way it should be £40. More like £25.

Lol! I know, but can at least put the code in ready.
Doubt anyone will know, i reckon unlikely, it might be yr2 versiona are only obtainable via yr1 and the subsequent blueprint
Definitely a few bugs in there.. I've 2 quests that were complete then after completing some others those reset to not being complete.. Also one of the new Titan quests says I need to fully upgrade my striker class but it is fully upgraded.

I own only the original Destiny game disc which I purchased preowned a couple of weeks ago. My plan is to trade in the disc (for what it's worth) along with another unwanted game and buy the legendary edition disc. That way I get all the expansions and save a few pennies too.
5 of the 6 subclass quests done...be glad to get striker one out the way!
Ashamed to say I have been annoying people in my completion of the last step on some. Started The Devil's Lair strike then sparrowed over to the cosmodrome patrol spawn and done the major/ultra/orbs gen part there before heading back over. Sorry!

They seem to have an issue with subclass quest lines at the moment:
• We're aware of an issue where Patrols and Faction-specific Quests are not granting the expected rewards upon completion. These rewards will be granted as expected for these activities starting on 9/15/2015. Patrols and Faction-specific Quests completed before this time will not retroactively grant rewards.

Hmm that's not the subclass quests though. I've got the rewards for all 5 no probs.
The patrol quest is something that kicks off randomly when you complete the top level of the sparrow rift-racing patrol. There's a chain of 3 or 4 extra missions you complete....did that and got no rewards.
The Faction specific quests are the quests that now kick off when you hit level 25 with a faction, and should ultimately reward you with the exotic faction class item.
