I'm not there experiencing it so I can't comment, but this reporter for the Telegraph (hardly a left wing paper!) seem to have a balanced view.

I know this isnt that relevant to the thread but that article isn't quite true. There has been a lot of cuts and changes to taxes suggested in Finland in order to create more jobs for people and help the economy to go up (like cutting from things like double pay on suday and raising the cost of child care) So that tax change is only part of these changes and had nothing really to do with the refugees. It was however suggested that the amount of refugees will go up to 30 000 a year so Im sure some of the money will be needed for that too.
They wont be murdered or tortured though, so I would think its a mild inconvenience at most being a refugee and all.

The ones in Lesbos are rioting because they can't wait to **** off from there to Angela's promised land so they claim having no water and no food. There are ways of protestng and making your voice heard without breaking the law - which to be fair most of them are managing to do - which even more reason to sepreate the "bad eggs" from the decent ones, so they don't risk getting tarred with the same brush (see this thread for example).

Why is the work force mostly from the Philippines and Thailand and live in worst conditions than some of these so called refugees.
They seek shelter and sleep under bridges. Dubai is not all flowers and rich people. The people without money are treated like ****.

Why would they lose their cultural identity? I live in London. My neighbours to the left are from Singapore. The ones to the right are from Nigeria. I work with an equally varied bunch of people.
