Just finishing of my system build but come across a obsticle

On the mobo manual it states that there is a ATX4P header, this is used to help power the PCIe lanes if you are using 2 or more cards...

Currently im gonna use one card, after 2 days of benchmarking and stability checking I will add the 2nd card in to do a SLI set up, just want to see the difference from 1 to 2 cards

Firstly Do I really need to use this ATX4P for SLI ??

also looking at the header its completley covered in black, not sure if there is a cover, but when i try to move it its stuck firmly in, dont really want to use to much force incase I break it,...

Anyone can shed light on this, and how the connection looks like, ie what cable do i need?

Not for two cards no.

but I have 2 cards, I will connect the 2nd card in a day or two, the ATX4P is right next to my power supply, its completely blocking the connection so Im unable to use this feature, also the top bit of the ATX4P is blocked off, I cant see what connection it has,but the mobo instruction shows a diagram that looks a like a molex connection with 4 pins, I think its facing towards the side of the psu uint

but its not possible to ignore the ATX4P on my SLI set up?
