R9 Nano - AMD says that it has too few review samples for the press.

The AIO is the thing that put me off the fury x, I like things clean and simple. Hence my choice of an aftermarket cooled Ti. With AIO coolers, too much more to go wrong. That and the fact that a company has to fit an AIO means that the card runs quite hot so they cannot manufacture a standard cooler capable of dealing with it. Aka a cop out.

Except the Fury Pro works just fine on air, and is still cool - so I can't see how it's a cop out. Imho the AIO compliments crossfire brilliantly - I have 2 nice cool cards :)

I mean fury x, why didn't AMD allow aftermarket cooled versions of the cards, NVIDIA are equally as guilty with the titan x. A reference cooler that looks very nice but is a bit rubbish. Also with AIO solutions, if you have a case that cant accept two such cards, that's another thing you could end up buying. More expense, and people do tend to prefer to keep cases much longer than other parts. I've ran quite a few sli setups from 6800gt right through to 780 not long ago. Reference and non reference cooled. Choice of a well spaced motherboard is more beneficial in any such setup.

Agreed Setter. It would have been cool (literally) to have a MSI Twin Frozr choice on my Titan X. My only gripe with the card is the noise of the cooler.

I agree, but it looks like the shortage of HBM, etc means they are unlikely to drop prices for at least a few more months. AMD seems to be competitive in the £170-£300 segments so probably aren't too worried about FuryX supply just yet.

Once the arctic Island cards are ready I would expect them to have larger quantities ready on launch.

Negative; this has already been discussed; its the interposer that only started ramping up in beginning of July.

AMD has plenty of fury chips; plenty of HBM; just don't have the interposer to put it together; with that heavily ramping now; we'll see an influx of cards by October; and most likely a small price cut.

AMD is selling as many as they make right now; so until we see the influx of cards; we won't see prices drops. We'll see prices drop and a lot more stock in October

This statement seems different to the apparent facts.

Took about 2 weeks to sell 8 Fury X cards and there are loads in stock of the Fury. 1 Nano in stock within 24 hours of launch.

The HardOCP guys are really upset by the looks of it. Calling half the readers motherf*****

Professional they are not.

It shows the class of some people. Some have it, some like that crying little bitch clearly does not.

We may have our red vs green banter but this where it ends. We dont have Gibbo for example calling us MF's for not getting stock in for example.

Problem I have is that the sheep will still visit and read that site.

TBF just because of how they reacted, i wouldn't give them a review sample if it were up to me. Whether you have too few or not, allowing people who act unprofessional and spiteful to review your brand new card is a risk not worth taking.

We all have a bad day and let off steam and regret what we said/done after. Kyle is no different and I am sure he will apologise.

Techsites kind of played their role out.
I mean let say you have 2fps difference when did you notice that lately playing a game and not watching adult stuff?

Read the thread now and tell me if you think what he said is alright. If you think it is then you should have been ok with that 'insult' you reported me for a few weeks back

Kyle has lost it and I think he deserves the rejection from AMD. What a loser.

Not really that bothered to be fair and I never report anyone and infact, I sent you a trust message earlier trying to do you a favour and stop you getting suspended (which I am guessing you haven't read) :o

I can't see any trust message but I don't hold the suspension against you mate. I shouldn't have said it.
