I have been experiencing driver stopped responding errors and madmax.exe stopped responding errors of which I have tried:
2 different driver versions using DDU in safe mode
Different PCIe connectors
Different PCIe slot
Updated motherboard drivers
Uninstall, download, reinstall Mad Max
Full Screen, Borderless, every graphics preset, different resolutions
Max Performance mode in NV CP
Crashes occur within 2 mins to 2 hours.
I decided to try lowering the clock speed by the max AB would allow of -105mhz and since doing this I have played for up to 5 hours with no crashes hence I'm convinced the problem is the VGA is unstable at stock clocks (boosts to 1404mhz). Otherwise the card is great, no coil whine, no fan issues, never seen any more than 65C when gaming and if I RMA the card then I run the risk of receiving a replacement with one or both the above issues of whine and fan bursts.
Do I :
A] RMA the card and hope for a decent replacement
B] Run the card at the reduced clock speed (boosts to 1314mhz)
C] Try to stabilize the core by adding mv
I registered with Zotac for the 5 year warranty so there is no urgency to start the RMA process, just interested to see what other ppl would do / suggest.
