Hey guys, I purchased myself my first water cooling loop in February and I'm comfortable enough with it now to upgrade and spend extra for it to look stunning thumb.gif although I don't have the knowledge or experience to know exactly what will work and what wont, as well as limits.

The Imgur link is my current build, its running an alphacool watercooling kit - D5 hooked into a dual bay reservoir, a 240mm rad and their cpu block.

The images of the case is the view of my seat from where I sit, so I'd like the reservoir to be viewable from there

There is a few upgrades I'm looking to make to this loop, so bare with me, this could be a bumpy ride.

*Add second 240mm Rad (In the bottom or the front - Opinions?)
*Add second reservoir at the back above the PSU
*Buy a 970GTX and add a waterblock to it
*Add a 2 T junctions, one for draining, one for filling
*Create clean, straight tubes with rubber tubes.

There is a few things I need help/advice on with these upgrades.

Firstly, how do you actually make a T junction which would allow for easy filling/draining (two separate junctions) using the alphacool black fittings? I can't find anything on google.

Secondly, if the D5 is at the top of the case, it should have enough power to push the fluid around the loop shouldn't it? I only ask this as I'd like to keep my current res with the pump since I don't want to mod my case at all (too scared and don't have the tools lol) - and what seems to be a pain of trying to mount the pump somewhere comfortably.

However guys, I'm hugely open to suggestions, I know very little and I know you all have a huge wealth of knowledge.

PS, I know its very dusty, thats my own fault. I have too many fans pushing air out. I plan to buy a full set of corsair SP and AF fans to replace all the fans and have more fans bringing air in than out.
Also I know the cables are ugly, I'm buying cable extenders which are black/blue braided which will tidy up the cables.

Yeah its a Phantom 630. Yeah I'll get a 360 for the roof and move the 240 into the base. What about my two questions/worries though?

1st question im not sure as haven't got 1 myself.

2nd question yes it will push the fluid fine as it's 1 of the best pump's if not the best.

For your 240mm rad you can put it laying down or at the front of the case, i will add some pictures of my case in about 15 minutes, so you get a idea of how you would like your's.

Hopefully these picture's work

Thank you for the pictures, just a quick question, that reservoir you have, which one is it? I'm looking at getting an alphacool one and I'd be quite interested in actually having my reservoir go higher like yours, so I could have a taller reservoir, my only worry is that it may hit the exhaust fan

Overclockers does not sell this reservoir, my res hits my rear fan

Fx63000, what rad do you have in the top of your case? Do you know the height of it? I'm worried about if I get a thicker one its not going to fit

I had a hardware labs sr1 in the top of mine with fans and it fitted fine though I wouldn't go any thicker

Hey Alex, you how know the recommend to flush the system, did you ever do that? I currently have some alphacool coolant with mayhems blue dye. If I empty the loop am I required to flush it with something or will a few drops here and there be fine?

If your getting new coolant, empty it, then run some distilled water to clean the old cooled out, you may need around 2 liters.

If you live near a asda or tesco pick up some there for less than a fiver.

Ahhhh ok, Cheers FX! I think what I'll do is when I go about adding the new rad+res, I'll take the entire loop apart and run distilled water through each part one by one. Just to be safe

There is a way where you can use a bucket, without taking the loop apart.

But it's not as good as taking it apart, i know some people use vinegar to clean there block's and rad's.

yes flush the rads and blocks and pump and res with distilled water to make sure no old fluid or bits are in then reassemble and your good to go
