DX Couriers - Parcel2Go

They have almost all of the contracts for delivering passports, official documents, etc. Clearly governments trust them.

I've only experienced them when I sent my passport off for a Ghanaian visa, which was fine. Came back on the date they said at the time they said.

Had some experiences with DX Secure that were not good, unfortunately the client kept insisting on using them. This was a few years back though.

EDIT: Oh yeah what meatloaf said as well - had some stuff from OcUK via DX Secure as well delivered by a guy in his own car inevitably 2-3 days late was so happy when they dropped them.

Mainly owner driver couriers, known for carrying ugly stuff through their DX Freight division.

Unless its deliberately "low key" I've always found it a bit weird how they are considered "secure", sure there is a higher level of tracking and accountability but the actual physical handling of the goods seemed less secure even than most other couriers.

The secure post is not dealt with by the "own car" drivers.

They've been dealing with legal / financial documents for as long as I can remember and are very good at it.

The opening up into new markets model seems to replicate that of myhermes, but from what I can tell it's all separate to the main business (in terms of the delivery network).

A fewcompany's have workers that use there own vans and cars.

Hermies and yodel do for sure.

I think it depends of the drivers in your area I suppose

Trust? You're kidding right? Them using DX is a cost cutting measure.

DX were, and probably still are used by VFS Visa services to return UK passports with Indian Visas inside.

Some people never got their passports back, others had cards posted through their letter box but had been in the house at the time. I had to use that system once (the RMSD option wasn't showing), I placed a large piece of paper on the front door stating I was in the house, was hard of hearing and would they knock extra loud.

The guy who delivered them used his own car. One poster on Trip Advisor stated that his were delivered by a guy on a motor bike. I was grateful it wasn't some youth on YTS on a skate board.

I'm pretty sure it was the case when I had to use them, that people were NOT permitted to go to their depot collect items themselves. That in itself tells a story.

That isn't the experience I've had (including handling legal documents and not just random goods).
