****WINNER IS EGuitarStar***CONGRATULATIONS AND THANK YOU TO EVERYONE FOR YOUR DONATIONS, SUPPORT AND MESSAGES. WE ARE EXTREMELY GRATEFUL******

Good morning everyone.

As some will now I've lurked around these parts a while and tried to help where I can. I've also done a bit of reviewing for QNAP among others.

I'm raising money for my son who has recently been diagnosed with cerebral palsy spastic diplegia. It's a large target I'm trying to reach and it is to get him to the US to have an operation called SDR in St Louis Children's Hospital. This op will give him the best chance of walking unaided and hopefully avoid of a lifetime of pain caused by this condition and potentially ending up wheelchair bound.

THIS is his gofundme page

I also have a facebook page and would be very grateful if his page could be shared far and wide.

This raffle/competition is for an all but brand new QNAP TS-231. I say all but, it's open box.

In order to win it all you need to do is make a donation on Jacob's gofundme page, placing your ocuk forum name in the comments box and then posting in this thread.

A winner will then be chosen on Monday 28th September 2015 at 8pm.

Good luck everyone and thank you in advance for your support.

Edit: I'll use a random number generator to pick the winning post.

(mods - thread has been sanctioned by 5UB).

This chair is worth £184.99, has been added to the prize pot from Vertagear and Overclockers UK. :)

Those who are donating will get a chance to win the QNAP and a Chair!

I'll make a donation in the next couple of days when i get my student finance as i am VERY broke at the moment.

Can none of your sons treatment be done on the NHS? Very surprised that it can't. Is it specialist treatment that cannot be done on the NHS? Don't want that to sound rude at all and i apologise if it does, just interested to know.

Hi mate, that's cool. It's not currently offered on the NHS. I could pay to do it privately on the NHS but the costs are very similar. Dr Park in St Louis is the one who trained the few Dr'S who do it in the UK. NICE are currently evaluating whether to offer it. Also in the UK they won't do it until the child is 4 or over whereas in the US it's 2+. After the op he will need five sessions of physio a week, the NHS will only fund 2.

Thank you for the support guys. I'm working all week but I'll do my best to answer questions. If anyone wants to trust me they can.

5UB - thank you/ocuk and Vertagear for the additional prize and all your support mate.

I have donated what I can afford, I'm sorry it isn't any more. I don't wish to be entered into the draw to win the prizes, unless they can be sold and added to the total?

I wish you and your family all the best. :)

Thank you for all the well wishes, shares and support guys. We passed the 2k barrier last night which is fantastic. If anyone wants to know more about what we are doing and why both the gofundme and Facebook pages have a background on us and more detail on what we are aiming for. Thank you again for all the positive messages and support!
