My GF is 5'1 it's pretty hard to put my arm around her waist.
Across all walks of life we are being conditioned, probably more today than at any other time.
We're supposed to see strong women as brave, determined, creative, smart. We're supposed to look at men in positions of power and wonder why there isn't a woman doing his job (or if a woman couldn't do it better).
We're supposed to look at households where the man works and the women looks after the kids as "old-fashioned" and "backwards".
We're supposed to look at immigrants as brave, hard-working, educated, motivated, go-getters. We're supposed to look at our own unemployed as lazy, entitled, a drain on society.
You could go on and on. There are a set of "groupthink" stereotypes that we're supposed to believe in, and there's something wrong with you if you disagree.

Is there a a male alternative to feminism movement we can all sign up to?
Life is really pathetic these days.
There's also Justice for Men & Boys and the Mens Rights movement overall.Look up MGTOW.
I agree with Helen.
The only time I put my arm around my crazy wifes shoulders is when I get her in a headlock ready to suplex her into the middle of next week.
I suppose one could say that was "ownage"?![]()

It's like we're going back in time.
Remember the way it works in modern society;
If you compliment a woman, and she's attracted to you, she'll appreciate the compliment and be happy.
If you compliment a woman and she isn't attracted to you, you're a creep and what you said was inappropriate and possibly sexual harassment.
If nobody's saying it, why is society changing so dramatically?
I put my arm around my wife's shoulder not to show ownership but because she is shorter than me. Mostly though we hold hands if we are out, because we like to.

It'll probably get worse. Bigotry has always been commonplace, but it's only recently that bigots have been successful in corrupting the very idea of equality.
What doesn't exist is a movement for sexual equality, an idea so odd it doesn't even have a name.
Well, there's Gender-egalitarianism, but that doesn't have quite the same ring to it.What doesn't exist is a movement for sexual equality, an idea so odd it doesn't even have a name.
